동방박사의 선물(1)

성경말씀

(마2:11) 그들이 집에 들어가, 그 아기가 어머니 마리아와 함께 있는 것을 보고, 엎드려 아기에게 경배하고, 보물 함을 열어 황금과 유향과 몰약을 예물로 드렸다.

오늘의 만나

박사들은 단지 그리스도를 발견했을 뿐 아니라 또한 그분께 경배했습니다. 이스라엘 사람들 가운데 어떤 사람도 다른 사람들로부터 경배 받는 것이 허락되지 않았습니다. 그것은 하나님을 모욕하고 모독하는 것으로 여겨졌습니다. 그들에 의하면 오직 하나님만이 사람들의 경배를 받을 수 있었습니다. 그러나 박사들은 아기에게 경배했으며 그 아기는 하나님이셨습니다. 이사야 9장 6절은 "한 아기가 우리에게 태어났고 ... 전능하신 하나님...불리리라."고 말합니다. 박사들에 의해 발견된 아기는 전능하신 하나님이라 불리었습니다. 박사들은 그분께 경배했으며 황금과 유향과 몰약을 그분께 드렸습니다. 우리는 황금과 유향과 몰약의 의미를 알아야 합니다. 성경에서 금은 신성한 본성을 상징합니다. 이것은 아기예수님께서 신성한 본성을 가지고 있었음을 가리킵니다. 그분은 신성하셨습니다. 유향은 부활의 향기를 상징합니다. 우리의 천연적이고 종교적인 이해에 따르면 예수의 부활은 다만 그분의 죽음 후에 왔을 뿐입니다. 그러나 그분은 죽기 전에 마리아와 마르다에게 그분이 부활이요 생명이라고 말씀하셨습니다(요11:25). 따라서 그분이 죽기 전에도 그분은 부활이셨습니다. 누가복음 2장에 있는 기록은 그 아이는 비범한 아기였음을 계시합니다. 그는 특별했는데 왜냐하면 그가 부활 안에 있는 아기였기 때문입니다. 그분의 인간 생명과 생활에는 유향, 곧 부활의 달콤함이 있었습니다. 죽음은 그분을 붙잡을 수 없었고, 그분께 손도 댈 수 없었습니다. 그분은 생명이셨을 뿐 아니라 부활이셨습니다. And falling down, they worshipped Him; and opening their treasures, they offered gifts to Him, gold and frankincense and myrrh. John 11:25 Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes into Me, even if he should die, shall live.

Words of Ministry

The magi not only found Christ; they also worshipped Him. Among the Israelites, no one was allowed to receive worship from others. That was considered an insult to God, a blasphemy against Him. According to them, only God was worthy of people's worship. But the wise men worshipped a child, and that child was God. Isaiah 9:6 says, “Unto us a child is born...and his name shall be called...The mighty God.” The child found by the magi was called the mighty God. The wise men worshipped Him, and they offered to Him gold, frankincense, and myrrh. We need to know the meaning of the gold, the frankincense, and the myrrh. In the typology of the Bible, gold signifies the divine nature. This indicates that the child Jesus had the divine nature. He was divine. Frankincense signifies the fragrance of resurrection. According to our naturally religious mentality, the resurrection of Jesus came only after His death. However, before He died, Jesus told Mary and Martha that He was the resurrection and the life. Thus, even before He died, He was the resurrection. The record in Luke 2 reveals that the child was an extraordinary child. He was a unique child because He was a child in resurrection. In His entire human life and living there was the fragrance, the sweetness of resurrection. Death could not hold Him or even touch Him. Not only was He the life-He was resurrection.
