오늘의 만나

이제 우리는 두 가지 요점, 즉 그리스도께서 성령으로 잉태되셨다는 것과 처녀에게서 태어나셨다는 것을 분명히 구별할 수 있어야 합니다. 그분의 근본은 성령이었고, 그분의 요소는 신성했습니다. 처녀 마리아를 통해 피와 살, 곧 사람의 본성을 입으시고, "육체의 모양" 곧 "사람들과 같은 모양(빌2:7)"을 가지셨습니다. 그러나 그분은 타락된 육체의 죄 있는 본성은 갖지 않으셨습니다(히4:15). 그분은 죄를 알지도 못하셨고(고후5:21), 죄가 없으셨습니다(히4:15). 그분은 육체를 가지셨지만, 그것은 "죄의 육체의 모양(롬8:3)"이었습니다. 외양에 있어서 그분은 타락한 사람의 모습이 되셨으나, 실지로 그분 안에는 타락한 본성이 전혀 없었습니다. 우리는 타락한 육체이며, 예수님은 하나님을 인성 안으로 이끌어 오시기 위해 이 육체 안으로 오셨습니다. 그분 안에서 하나님의 신성한 인격이 인성과 연합되었습니다. 그리스도의 탄생은 단순히 구주를 산출하는 것뿐만이 아니라, 또한 하나님을 사람 안으로 이끌어 오는 것이었습니다. 인성은 타락했지만 하나님은 이 타락한 본성의 어떤 부분도 취하지 않으셨습니다. 하나님은 오직 타락한 육체의 모양을 취하셨으며, 이를 통해 그분은 자신을 인성과 연합시키셨습니다. 우리는 예수님에 대해 다른 많은 사람들이 생각하는 것처럼 생각하지 말아야 합니다. 우리는 예수님께서 타락한 인류와 연합하신 바로 하나님이시라는 것을 깨달아야 합니다. 이것이 그리스도의 탄생이었습니다. Now we must clearly differentiate two points: Christ was conceived of the Holy Spirit and He was born of a virgin. His source was the Holy Spirit, and His element was divine. Through the virgin Mary as a means, He put on flesh and blood, the human nature, taking “the likeness of the flesh,” “the likeness of men” (Phil. 2:7). However, He did not have the sinful nature of the fallen flesh. He knew no sin (2 Cor. 5:21), and He had no sin (Heb. 4:15). He had flesh, but it was the “likeness of the flesh of sin” [Rom. 8:3]. In appearance He was made in the form of a fallen man, but in actuality there was no fallen nature within Him. We are fallen flesh, and Jesus came into this flesh that He might bring God into humanity. In Him, the divine person of God was mingled with humanity. The birth of Christ was not simply to produce a Savior, but also to bring God into man. Although humanity was fallen, God did not take on any part of this fallen nature. God took only the likeness of the fallen flesh, and through this He mingled Himself with humanity. We should not think of Jesus in the way many others think of Him. We must realize that Jesus is nothing less than God Himself mingled with fallen humanity, taking the form of humanity, but without man's sinful nature. This was the birth of Christ.
