우리의 기도가 응답 받지 않은 것 같습니다.

성경말씀

(엡1:19) 또한 믿는 우리들을 향하여 강한 권능으로 운행하는 하나님의 지극히 큰 능력이 무엇인지를 알게 해 주시기 바랍니다.

오늘의 만나

나는 성도들이 에베소서 3장 20절을 인용하면서 자신들이 체험한 하나님의 물질적인 축복에 대해 간증하는 것을 여러 번 들어 보았습니다. 이 구절을 그런 목적으로 인용하는 것은 잘못 적용하는 것입니다. 여기서의 바울의 관념은 하나님이 우리의 밖에서 무엇을 하시는 것과 관련된 것이 아니라, 그분이 우리 안에서 하시는 것과 관련되어 있습니다. 그는 구체적으로 "우리 안에서 운행하는 능력"이라고 언급하고 있습니다. 이것은 1장 19절과 20절에서 언급된 내적 능력, 부활 능력입니다. 하나님의 창조하시는 능력은 우리 환경에 있는(롬8:28) 물질적인 것들의 기원이지만, 하나님의 부활의 능력은 우리 내적 존재 안에서 교회를 위해 영적인 것들을 성취합니다. 하나님이 우리에게 좋은 직업을 주시려 한다면, 우리 안에서 운행하는 부활 능력이 필요 없습니다. 우리가 구하는 것이나 생각하는 모든 것보다 더욱 넘치도록 하나님께서 해 주실 수 있는 것은 우리 환경 안에서의 그분의 행함과 관련되는 것이 아니라, 우리 안에서의 그분의 유기적이고도 신진대사적으로 일하시는 것과 관련됩니다. 환경에 관련되어서는 하나님께서 여러분을 위해 명백히 아무것도 하시지 않을 때가 있을 것입니다. 여러분은 승진을 위해 기도했는데, 그분은 여러분을 해고당하게 허락하실 수도 있습니다. 이 실직 기간 동안 하나님은 여러분 안에 그리스도께서 그분의 거처를 정하실 수 있도록 여러분 안에서 운행하실 수도 있습니다. 우리가 좋은 환경에 있을 때는 주님께서 우리 내적 존재 안에서 확장되실 기회가 매우 적을 수도 있습니다. 그러나 우리가 어려운 환경에 있을 때, 주님께서 우리 내적 존재 안에서 확산되실 기회를 좀 더 많이 갖게 되실 수 있습니다. A number of times I have heard the saints quote verse 20 in testifying concerning their experience of God's material blessing. To quote this verse for such a purpose is to misapply it. Paul's concept here is related not to what God does outside of us, but to what He does inside of us. He specifically mentions “the power which operates in u s.” This is the inward power, the resurrection power, as mentioned in 1:19 and 20. God's creating power is the origin of the material things in our environment (Rom. 8:28), whereas God's resurrection power accomplishes the spiritual things for the church within our inward being. In order for God to give us a good job, there is no need for resurrection power to operate in us. God's being able to do superabundantly above all that we ask or think is related not to His acts in our environment, but to His working organically and metabolically within us. As far as the environment is concerned, there may be times when God apparently does nothing for you. You may pray for a promotion, but He allows you to be laid off from your present job. During this time of unemployment, God may operate within you to enable Christ to make His home in you. When we are in a favorable environment, there may be very little opportunity for Christ to spread Himself in our hearts. But when we are placed in a difficult environment, the Lord may have more of an opportunity to spread within our inward being.
