우리는 하나님의 유업입니다

성경말씀

(엡1:18) 여러분의 마음의 눈을 밝히시어, 하나님께서 여러분을 부르신 그 소망이 무엇인지를 알게 해 주시고 성도들 가운데 있는 하나님의 유업의 영광의 풍성이 무엇인지를 알게 해 주시며

오늘의 만나

우리는 하나님의 누림을 위하여 이미 그분의 유업이 되었지만, 우리가 하나님의 유업으로서 살고 있는지의 여부를 스스로 물어볼 필요가 있습니다. 우리는 우리가 하나님의 유업이라는 객관적인 가르침에만 머물러서는 안 됩니다. 수 년 전에, 나는 우리가 하나님의 유업이라는 것을 배웠고, 그것을 들었을 때 매우 기뻤습니다. 그러나 마침내 내가 단지 흙에 지나지 않는다는 것을 발견했습니다. 흙이 하나님의 유업이 될 수 있다는 것은 어리석어 보였습니다. 우리 안에는 하나님의 유업이 될 만한 가치가 없습니다. 그러나 많은 체험을 하고 신약을 많이 연구한 후에, 우리는 여전히 하나님의 유업이 되어 가는 과정 가운데 있다는 것을 배웠습니다. 그것은 하나님께서 우리 안으로 일해 들어오시므로 하나님께서 우리를 유업으로 조성하고 계십니다. 하나님께서 여전히 오늘도 그분 자신을 우리 안으로 일해 넣고 계십니다. 우리 대부분은 부분적으로 흙이고 부분적으로 금입니다. 금의 부분이 하나님의 유업입니다. 우리를 하나님의 유업으로 만드는 과정이 계속될수록 우리 안에 금은 증가하고 흙은 감소할 것임을 인하여 하나님께 감사드립니다. 이 과정이 완성되었을 때, 우리는 객관적으로만이 아니라 체험적으로도 완전히 하나님의 유업이 될 것입니다. We are God's Inheritance

Although we have been made God's inheritance for His enjoyment already, we need to ask ourselves whether or not we live as God's inheritance. We should not stop with the mere objective teaching about being the inheritance of God. Many years ago I was taught that we are God's inheritance, and I was very happy to hear this. Eventually, however, I discovered that I am nothing but clay. It seemed absurd that clay could be God's inheritance. In ourselves we certainly are not worthy to be God's inheritance. After much experience and study of the new Testament, I learned that we are still in the process of becoming God's inheritance. It is by having God wrought into us that we are being constituted into an inheritance. God is still working Himself into us today. Most of us are part clay and part gold. The part that is gold is God's inheritance. I thank God that as the process of being made God's inheritance goes on, the gold in us is increasing and the clay is decreasing. When this process has been completed, we shall be fully the inheritance of God not only objectively, but also experientially.
