예수와 단체적인 '나’

성경말씀

(행9:4~5) 그가 땅에 엎어졌다. 그러자 그에게 "사울아, 사울아, 네가 왜 나를 박해하느냐?"라고 하는 음성이 들렸다. 그래서 그가 "주님, 누구십니까?"라고 하니, 주님께서 말씀하셨다. "나는 네가 박해하는 예수다...“
(롬12:5) 이와 같이 우리 많은 사람도 그리스도 안에서 한 몸이며, 각 사람이 서로 지체들입니다.
(고전12:12) 왜냐하면 몸은 하나인데 많은 지체가 있고, 몸의 지체는 많지만 모두가 한 몸인 것같이, 그리스도도 그와 같으시기 때문입니다.

오늘의 만나

사울은 예수께서 죽었다가 부활하신 여호와 구원자이심을 보았을 뿐 아니라, 주 예수님이 그분을 따르는 사람들과 하나라는 것도 보았습니다. 아마도 사울은 자신에게 이렇게 말했을 것입니다. "나는 예수를 핍박한 것이 아니라 그분을 따르는 자들을 핍박했었다. 그러나 그분은 내가 그분을 핍박했다고 말씀하셨다. 틀림없이 이것은 그분이 그분을 따르는 자들과 하나라는 뜻이다." 이렇게 사울은 그 몸을 보게 되었습니다. 사도행전 9장 4절의 "나"와 5절의 "예수"라는 이름이 매우 큰 의미를 지녔으므로, 사울은 예수와 이 단체적인 "나"에 관해 깊이 숙고하고 있었을 것입니다. 이 사흘동안 그는 "나"와 예수, 두 단어를 분석했을 것입니다. 그 즈음에 바울은 구원과 그리스도의 몸에 관한 완전한 복음을 받았습니다. 단체적인 "나"인 '그리스도와 교회'에 대한 사울의 체험은 틀림없이 그에게 깊은 인상을 주었고, 그리스도와 교회에 관한 그의 장래 사역에 큰 영향을 끼쳤을 것입니다. 그 체험은 그의 사역에 기초를 놓아 주었습니다. 그러므로 그는 그리스도의 몸을 가르치는 데 있어서 매우 강했습니다(엡1:22~23, 2:16, 4:4,16). 그는 신약 안에서 "그리스도의 몸"이라는 용어를 사용한 유일한 저자입니다. 그는 자신이 회심할 때, 단체적인 "나"에 관한 메시지, 곧 그리스도의 몸에 관한 메시지를 들었기 때문에 몸을 크게 강조했던 것입니다. Acts9:4~5 ...Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me? And he said, Who are You, Lord? And He said, I am Jesus, whom you persecute. Romans 12:5 So we who are many are one body in Christ... 1 Cor. 12:12 For even as the body is one and has many members...so also is the Christ. Eph. 1:22 ...the church, (23) Which is His Body, the fullness of the One who fills all in all.

Words of Ministry

Saul not only saw that Jesus is Jehovah, the Savior, who died and was resurrected; he also saw that the Lord Jesus is one with His followers. Perhaps Saul said to himself, "I did not persecute Jesus--I persecuted His followers. But He told me that I persecuted Him. This must mean that He is one with His followers." In this way Saul came to see the Body. The "Me" in verse 4 and the name "Jesus" in verse 5 are of great significance, and Paul must have considered much concerning Jesus and this corporate "Me." During those three days he might have analyzed the two words Me and Jesus. During those days, Paul received the full gospel concerning salvation and the Body of Christ. Saul's experience of the corporate Me, Christ and the Body, must have made a deep impression on him and affected his future ministry regarding Christ and the church. That experience laid the foundation for his ministry. Therefore, he was very strong in teaching the Body of Christ (Eph. 1:22-23; 2:16; 4:4, 16). He is the only writer in the New Testament to use the term "the Body of Christ." He placed great emphasis on the Body because at the time of his conversion he heard a message concerning the corporate Me, a message concerning the Body of Christ.
