그리스도의 화평이 우리 안의 불일치를 해결함

성경말씀

(골3:15) 그리스도의 화평이 여러분의 마음에서 판정을 내리도록 하십시오. 여러분이 한 몸 안에 부름을 받은 것도 이 화평을 위한 것입니다. 또 여러분은 감사하는 사람이 되십시오.
(롬8:6) 육체에 둔 생각은 죽음이지만, 영에 둔 생각은 생명과 평안입니다.

오늘의 만나

판정하는 그리스도의 화평에 관한 바울의 말은 의심할 바 없이 그의 실질적인 체험에 따라 쓰였습니다. 만일 우리의 체험을 고려해본다면 우리는 그리스도인으로서 우리 안에 둘 혹은 세 당사자들이 있음을 깨달을 수 있을 것입니다. 우리는 이러한 이유로 판정자가 필요합니다. 판정자는 항상 당사자들 사이의 불일치나 분쟁을 해결하기 위하여 필요합니다. 어떤 문제와 관련하여 우리 안의 한 당사자는 한쪽으로 기울어질 것입니다. 반면에 다른 당사자는 그 반대쪽으로 기울어질 것입니다. 또한 세 번째 당사자는 중립적일 것입니다. 종종 우리는 우리 안에 세 당사자 즉, 긍정적인 당사자, 부정적인 당사자, 중립적인 당사자가 있음을 의식할 것입니다. 그리스도인으로서 우리는 구원받지 않은 사람들보다 더 복잡합니다. 우리는 구원받기 전에는 단순히 사탄적인 당사자의 통제 아래 있었습니다. 우리는 우리 안에 어떤 내적 다툼을 느끼지도 않으며, 세상적인 즐거움과 오락에 빠질 수 있었습니다. 그러나 우리가 구원 받고나서는 한쪽 당사자가 우리를 자극하여 어떤 것을 하라고 하고, 다른 쪽 당사자는 다른 것을 하라고 자극합니다. 그러므로 우리 안의 분쟁을 해결하기 위하여, 내적인 판정이 필요하게 되었습니다. 우리는 우리 안에서 일어나는 '협의'를 통할할 사람이나 무언가가 필요한 것입니다. 골로새서 3장15절에 따르면 이러한 통할할 분 즉, 이러한 판정자는 그리스도의 화평입니다. 우리가 우리 존재 안의 여러 당사자가 다투거나 싸우는 것을 의식할 때마다, 우리는 그리스도의 화평이 통할하도록 입지를 내어주고, 이 화평이 우리 속에서 다스리도록 허락해 드릴 필요가 있습니다. 이 화평이 최종 말씀을 하게 해야 합니다. The Peace of Christ Settling Disagreements Within Us

Col 3:15 And let the peace of Christ arbitrate in your hearts, to which also you were called in one Body; and be thankful. Rom 8:6 For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the spirit is life and peace.

Words of Ministry

Paul's word about the arbitrating peace of Christ was no doubt written according to his practical experience. If we consider our experience, we shall realize that as Christians we have two or three parties within us. For this reason we need an arbitrator. An arbitrator is always needed to settle disagreements or disputes between parties. With respect to a certain matter, one of the parties within us may be inclined one way, whereas another party may be inclined the opposite way. Furthermore, a third party may be neutral. Often we are conscious of three parties within us: a positive party, a negative party, and a neutral party. As Christians, we are more complicated than unsaved people are. Before we were saved, we were under the control of the satanic party. We could indulge in worldly amusements and entertainments without any sense of controversy within. But now that we are saved, one party may encourage us to do one thing, but another party may encourage us to do something else. Hence, there is the need for inward arbitration to settle the dispute within us. We need someone or something to preside over the conferences that take place within our being. According to verse 15, this presiding one, this arbitrator, is the peace of Christ. Whenever we sense that different parties within our being are arguing or quarreling, we need to give place to the presiding peace of Christ and allow this peace...to rule within us. Let this peace have the final word.
