신진대사적인 씻음

성경말씀

(엡5:26~27) 이것은 곧 그리스도께서 말씀 안에 있는 씻는 물로 교회를 깨끗이 하여 거룩하게 하시려는 것이며, 또한 점이나 주름이나 그 같은 것들이 없는, 영광스러운 교회로 자기 앞에 세우시려는 것이며, 교회를 거룩하고 흠이 없게 하시려는 것입니다.

오늘의 만나

에베소서 5장 26절에서의 씻는 물은 죄들을 처리하는 것이 아니라, 주로 점이나 주름잡힌 것들을 처리합니다. 점은 천연적인 생명에서 나온 어떤 것들이며 주름잡힌 것들은 늙은 것들을 상징합니다. 오직 생명의 물만이 이러한 결점들을 생명의 변화에 의해 신진대사적으로 씻어낼 수 있습니다. 교회 안에 있는 모든 점이나 주름잡힌 것들은 말씀 안에 있는 물의 내적인 씻음을 통해 씻어질 것입니다. 우리가 말씀을 대하면 대할수록 우리는 더욱 더 목양됩니다. 우리가 받는 목양은 천연적인 생명에 의해 생기는 결점이나 늙음으로 인한 주름잡힌 것들을 없애는 내적인 씻음을 가져다 줍니다. 우리는 모두 결점들과 늙음의 표시들을 제거하는 유기적이고 신진대사적인 씻음이 필요합니다. 교회가 이렇게 유기적으로 또 신진대사적으로 씻어질 때 교회는 새로워지고 흠이 없게 됩니다. 이러한 씻음은 전적으로 생명과 생명의 목양에 의해 생깁니다. 이제 용기를 얻어 모든 결점들과 늙음에서부터 유기적으로 또 신진대사적으로 씻어질 수 있도록 목양의 근원이신 그리스도 안에 거하고, 목양하는 성분을 받아들이기 위해 말씀을 접촉합시다. 그러한 씻음에 의해서 교회는 온전케 되고 영광스럽게 될 것입니다. A Metabolic Washing by the Water of Life

Ephesians 5:26 That He might sanctify her, cleansing her by the washing of the water in the word, (27) That He might present the church to Himself glorious, not having spot or wrinkle or any such things, but that she would be holy and without blemish.

Words of Ministry

The washing in verse 26 does not deal mainly with sins [which is taken care of by Christ's blood], but deals with spots and wrinkles. Spots are something out of the natural life [such as our natural biases, and disposition], and wrinkles are signs of oldness. Only the water of life can metabolically wash away such defects by the transformation of life. All the spots and wrinkles in the church will be washed away through the inner cleansing of the water in the Word. The more we come to the Word, the more we are nourished. The nourishment we receive brings about an inner cleansing from the defects caused by the natural life and from the wrinkles caused by oldness. We all need such an organic, metabolic washing to take away our defects and the marks of our oldness. As the church is washed organically and metabolically in this way, the church is renewed and without blemish. Such a washing takes place entirely by life and by the nourishment of life. Let us be encouraged to abide in Christ as the source of nourishment and to contact the Word to receive the nourishing element so that we may be washed organically and metabolically from all defects and oldness. By means of such a washing, the church will be perfected and become glorious.
