구약에서의 측량할 수 없는 그리스도

성경말씀

(엡3:8) 하나님께서 모든 성도들 중에 가장 작은 이보다 더 작은 나에게 이 은혜를 주신 것은 그리스도의 측량할 수 없는 풍성을 이방인들에게 복음으로 전하게 하시고,
(골2:16~17) 그러므로 먹는 것과 마시는 것이나 명절이나 초승달 축제나 안식일에 관하여, 아무도 여러분을 판단하지 못하게 하십시오. 이런 것들은 장래 일들의 그림자이며, 그 실체는 그리스도께 속한 것입니다.

오늘의 만나

성경은 깊고 심오합니다. 그 깊이에 들어갈 때 우리는 성경에 포함된 풍성을 볼 수 있습니다. 그리스도의 풍성은 예표 안에 묘사되어 있습니다. 구약 안에서 그리스도에 관한 모든 예표를 찾아내기란 쉽지 않습니다. 어떤 예표들은 감추어져 있습니다. 예를 들면, 창세기 1장 9절과 10절에서 드러난 땅은 그리스도의 예표(죽음의 물에서 나온 부활)입니다. 빛, 태양, 별, 나무 등과 같이 창세기 1장에서 다른 많은 예표들을 발견할 수 있습니다. 예표는 주로 그리스도를 나타내는 인물들과 사물들인 반면에 그림자는 주로 구약에서 그리스도를 묘사하는 의식과 관습들을 가리킵니다. 안식일과 월삭은 그림자였습니다. 안식일이 안식이었지만 참된 안식은 그리스도였으므로 그것은 참된 안식이 아니었습니다. 상징은 주로 특별한 장면을 제시하는 상황을 언급합니다. 예를 들면 광야에서 이스라엘 자손들이 방황한 것은 오늘날 그리스도인의 생활에서 방황하는 생활의 체험에 대한 상징이자 그림입니다. 유월절은 또 하나의 상징입니다. 유월절 어린양이 그리스도의 예표이기는 하지만 유월절 자체는 우리의 유월절이신 그리스도가 어떻게 우리를 하나님의 심판에서 구원하시고 그분의 어떠함으로 우리를 먹이시는가를 묘사하는 상징입니다. 그러므로 유월절의 그림은 그리스도의 상징입니다. 그리스도는 너무나 풍성하시므로 우리에게는 그분을 묘사하는 예표뿐만 아니라 그림자와 상징도 필요합니다. 그리스도에 대한 구약에 나타난 모든 예표와 그림자와 상징들은 그리스도의 어떠하심에 대한 설명과 묘사와 정의가 됩니다. 우리는 그리스도의 풍성을 알기 위하여 성경 안에서 이 모든 것들을 연구할 필요가 있습니다. The Unsearchable Riches of Christ in the Old Testament

Ephesians 3:8 To me, less than the least of all saints, was this grace given to announce to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ as the gospel Colossians 2:16 ...a new moon or of the Sabbath, (17) Which are a shadow of the things to come, but the body is of Christ.

The Bible is deep and profound. Only when we get into its depths do we see the riches it contains. Beneath the surface of the Bible are the riches of Christ... The riches of Christ are depicted in types. It is not easy to find all the types of Christ in the Old Testament. Some types are hidden. For example, the earth that emerges in Genesis 1:9 and 10 is a type of Christ [coming up out of death water-resurrection]. Many other types are found in chapter one of Genesis: light, the sun, the star, and the trees.... Types are mainly persons or things that signify Christ, whereas shadows mainly refer to rituals and practices in the Old Testament that portray Christ. The Sabbath day and the new moon were shadows. Although the Sabbath was a rest, it was not the real rest, for the real rest is Christ... A figure mainly refers to a situation that presents a certain picture. For example, the wandering of the children of Israel in the wilderness is a figure, a picture, of our experience in the Christian life today, which is often a life of wandering. The Passover is another figure. Although the Passover lamb is a type of Christ, the Passover itself is a figure depicting how Christ, our Passover, saves us from God's judgment and feeds us with what He is. Christ is so rich that He needs not only types, but also shadows and figures to portray Him. All the types, shadows, and figures of Christ in the Old Testament are descriptions, explanations, and definitions of what Christ is. We need to study all these matters in the Scriptures in order to know the riches of Christ.
