진리 이만나

우리의 약함을 자랑함

성경말씀

(고후12:9) 그러나 주님은 나에게 말씀하셨습니다. '나의 은혜가 너에게 충분하다. 왜냐하면 나의 능력은 사람이 약할 때에 온전하게 나타나기 때문이다.' 그러므로 나는 그리스도의 능력이 나에게 장막으로 드리워지도록 오히려 나의 약한 것을 더더욱 기쁘게 자랑하겠습니다.

오늘의 만나

이것을 본 적이 있습니까? 우리가 애통해야만 하는 어떤 것, 우리가 울어야만 하는 어떤 것이 약함은 아닙니다. 약함은 사람이 자랑해야 하는 어떤 것입니다. 당신은 다음과 같이 말했을 것입니다. '주님께 감사하고 찬양합니다. 그분은 나로 승리하게 하셨습니다.' 그러나 당신이 이와 같이 말한 적이 있습니까? '주님께 감사하고 찬양합니다. 그분은 나로 비참하게 실패하게 하셨습니다.' 당신은 주님께서 당신에게 인내를 주신 것으로 인해 감사하고 찬양했으나, 당신의 고칠 수 없는 성질로 인해 그분께 감사하고 찬양한 적이 있습니까? 당신의 교만으로 인해 감사하고 찬양한 적이 있습니까? 당신의 질투로 인해 감사하고 찬양한 적이 있습니까? 당신의 내적인 불결함과 당신의 죄로 인해 감사하고 찬양한 적이 있습니까? 만일 당신이 이와 같은 문제들을 갖고 있다면 당신은 그것들로 인해 주님께 감사하고 찬양해야 합니다. 왜 바울은 이같이 말했습니까? '나는 차라리 내 약함을 자랑하겠습니다.' '자랑한다'는 말은 헬라어에서 '영광'이란 말입니다. 바울은 그의 약함을 영광으로 여긴다고 말했습니다. 왜냐하면 그의 약함으로 인해 그리스도는 그분의 능력을 나타낼 기회를 가졌고, 이 능력이 바울 위에 장막을 칠 기회를 가졌기 때문입니다. 그리스도의 능력은 어떤 약함도 없는 사람들 위에는 장막을 칠 수 없습니다. 오직 약함이 있는 자들만이 그리스도의 능력이 장막치는 것을 체험할 수 있습니다. 나는 차라리 내 약함을 자랑하겠습니다. 왜냐하면 내 약함으로 인해 그리스도께서 내 안에 역사할 기회가 있기 때문입니다. 우리의 약함들로 인해 그리스도는 그분의 능력을 나타낼 기회를 가지시고, 내 안에 무언가를 행할 기회를 가지십니다. Boasting in Your Weaknesses

2 Cor12:9 And He [the Lord] has said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is perfected in weakness. Most gladly therefore I will rather boast in my weaknesses that the power of Christ might tabernacle over [dwells upon] me.

Words of Ministry

Have you seen this? Weakness is not something that one should lament over or weep about. Weakness is something that one should boast in. You may have said, “Thank and praise the Lord because He has made me overcome,” but have you ever said, “Thank and praise the Lord because He has made me fail miserably”? You thank and praise the Lord for giving you patience, but have you thanked and praised Him for your impossible temper? Have you thanked and praised Him for your pride? Have you thanked and praised Him for your jealousy? Have you thanked and praised Him for your uncleanness within and for your sin? If you have these problems, you should thank and praise the Lord for them. Why did Paul say, “I will rather boast in my weaknesses”? The word “boast” is “glory” in the original language. Paul said that he considered his weaknesses to be his glory. This is because his weaknesses afforded Christ the opportunity to manifest His power and the opportunity for this power to tabernacle over him. Christ’s power cannot tabernacle over those who do not have any weaknesses. Only those with weaknesses can experience the tabernacling of Christ’s power. I would rather boast in my weaknesses because my weaknesses afford the Lord an opportunity to work in me. They afford the Lord an opportunity to manifest His power and to do something in me.
