영도자요 구주이신 예수 그리스도(2)

성경말씀

(행17:26~27) 하나님은 한 사람에게서 인류의 모든 민족을 만드시어 온 땅 위에 살게 하시고, 그들이 살 시대와 거주할 경계를 미리 정하셨는데, 이것은 사람들이 하나님을 찾도록 하시려는 것입니다. 사람들이 하나님을 더듬어 찾는다면 발견할 수 있는데, 사실 하나님은 우리 각 사람에게서 멀리 떨어져 계시지 않습니다.

오늘의 만나

영도자와 통치자로서 주님은 우리를 구원할 목적으로 땅을 다스리십니다. 주님은 다스리시어 우리가 구원받도록 하십니다. 중국인들이 미국으로 이민한 예를 들어봅시다. 우리는 대단히 많은 이민자들이 주님에게 매우 열려 있다는 것을 발견했습니다. 그러나 만일 그들이 중국에 남아 있었다면 그들이 이렇게 열렸을 것 같지는 않습니다. 주 예수님은 그분의 권위를 행사하여 매우 많은 외국인이 이 나라에 오시도록 하셨습니다. 그들이 일단 이 나라에 도착하면 그들은 주님에게 열리게 됩니다. 이것은 주님께서 사람들을 구원할 목적으로 이 땅을 다스린다는 한 예입니다. 하나님은 우리를 선택하셨고, 알맞은 때에 주 예수님은 땅의 왕들의 통치자로서 그분의 권위를 행사하여 어떤 환경을 산출하여 우리가 그분을 믿지 않을 수 없게 하셨다는 것을 우리는 믿습니다. 어떤 의미에서 우리는 주님께 붙잡혔습니다. 우리가 주님의 '덫'에서 벗어날 길은 없습니다. 우리는 그리스도 안에서 그분께 사로잡혔습니다. 우리가 구원받기 전에는 벗어나기 위해 도망치려는 생쥐와 같았습니다. 그러나 주 예수님은 그분의 주권적인 권위를 사용하여 덫을 놓아 우리를 사로잡았습니다. 이 문제에 있어서 주님은 주권적이십니다. 그분은 왕들의 통치자로서, 환경을 안배하여 우리를 압박하여 그분을 믿게 하였습니다. 그러한 환경이 없었다면 우리는 그분을 믿지 않았을지도 모릅니다. 우리 모두는 그분께 사로잡혀, 속박되어 그분을 믿게 되었습니다. 우리가 그분을 믿게 됨을 인하여 주님을 찬양합니다! Acts17:26~27 And He made from one every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, determining beforehand their appointed seasons and the boundaries of their dwelling, That they might seek God, if perhaps they might grope for Him and find Him, even though He is not far from each one of us.

Words of Ministry

As the Leader, the Ruler, He is ruling the earth for the purpose of our salvation. He is ruling so that we may be saved. Let us take as an illustration the case of Chinese immigrants to the United States. We have found that a great many of these immigrants are very open to the Lord. But if they had remained in China, it is not likely that they would be this open. The Lord Jesus exercises His authority to cause so many foreigners to come to this country. Then once they arrive, they become open to Him. This is an illustration of the Lord's ruling the earth for the sake of saving people. We believe that God has chosen us, and then at the right time the Lord Jesus, the Ruler of the kings of the earth, exercised His authority to produce a certain environment so that we had no choice except to believe in Him. In a sense, we have been "caught" by the Lord. There is no way for us to escape from the Lord's "trap." We have been caught by Christ and in Christ. Before we were saved, we were like mice running loose. But the Lord Jesus exercised His sovereign authority to set up a trap to catch us. In this matter He is sovereign; He is the Ruler of the kings, arranging the environment so that we were constrained to believe in Him. Without such an environment, we would not have believed in Him. We all were caught by Him and constrained to believe in Him. Praise the Lord that we believe in Him!
