하나님과 사람의 연합은 상호거처를 산출함

성경말씀

(요1:14) 말씀께서 육체가 되시어 우리 가운데 장막을 치시니…
(14:23) 예수님께서 그에게 대답하셨다. '누구든지 나를 사랑하면 나의 말을 지킬 것입니다. 그러면 나의 아버지께서 그를 사랑하실 것이고, 우리가 그에게 가서 그와 함께 서로 거처를 정할 것입니다.

오늘의 만나

요한복음 1장 14절이 말하는 바는 육체되심 즉 하나님이신 말씀이 육체가 되사 우리 가운데 장막을 치신 것입니다. 이 구절에서 '장막을 치시니'라는 말은 그 의미에 있어서 풍성합니다. 그 말은 육체되신 분이 다름아닌 바로 하나님과 사람의 연합이라는 것을 의미합니다. 이 연합이 하나님의 장막으로서 하나님이 거할 수 있는 곳입니다. 더 나아가 이 장막 안에서 하나님의 선택한 백성은 하나님을 섬길 수 있고, 그분과 함께 머무를 수 있습니다. 그러므로 요한복음 1장 14절에서 우리는 이 육체되심 안에서 하나님과 사람의 연합이 하나님의 거처인 그분의 장막이 된 것을 봅니다. 요한복음 14장 23절에서는 아들과 아버지가 주 예수님을 사랑하는 이에게 가서 그와 거처를 함께 정한다는 것을 볼 수 있습니다. 그런 다음 15장 4절에서는 주님이 우리의 거처, 우리가 거하는 장소가 되실 수 있고, 우리는 그분의 거처가 될 필요가 있다는 것을 보여줍니다. 주님은 다음과 같이 말하는 것 같습니다. '내 안에 거하십시오. 그러면 나도 여러분 안에 거하겠습니다. 내가 여러분의 거처가 되도록 나의 거처가 되십시오.' 여기서 우리는 상호거처를 위한 하나님과 사람의 연합을 볼 수 있습니다. 하나님의 거처로서 하나님을 갖는다는 사상은 구약에서 찾아볼 수 있습니다. 예를 들어, 신명기 33장 27절은 말합니다. '옛부터 하나님은 너희의 거처가 되시고'(원문참조). 시편 90편 1절에서 모세는 말합니다. '주님은 대대로 우리의 거처이셨습니다.' 신약이 분명하게 계시하는 바는 우주적인 건축이 있다는 것이며, 이 우주적인 건축은 하나님과 하나님의 선택하신 백성의 상호건축이라는 것입니다. 사실 이 처소는 우리의 거처로서의 하나님이시고, 하나님의 처소로서의 우리입니다. 이 놀라운 거처가 하나님의 건축입니다. (발췌문 : 하단 영문 참조)

The Mingling of God and Man to Produce a Mutual Dwelling Place

John1:14 And the Word became flesh and tabernacled among us... 14:23 Jesus answered and said to him, If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word, and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make an abode with him.

Words of Ministry

John 1:14 refers to the incarnation: the Word, which is God (John 1:1), became flesh and tabernacled among us. The word "tabernacled" in this verse is rich in its significance. It signifies that the incarnated One is the very mingling of God and man. This mingling is God's tabernacle, where God can dwell. Furthermore, in this tabernacle God's chosen people can serve God and stay with Him. Therefore, in John 1:14 we see the mingling of God with man in the incarnation to become God's tabernacle, His dwelling place. In John 14:23, we see that the Son and the Father will come to the one who loves the Lord Jesus and make an abode with that one. Then in John 15:4 the Lord indicates that He may become our abode, our abiding place, and that we need to be His abode. The Lord seems to be saying, "Abide in Me so that I may abide in you. Be My abode so that I may be your abode." Here we have the mingling of God and man for a mutual dwelling place. The thought of having God as our habitation can be found in the Old Testament. For example, Deuteronomy 33:27 says, "The God of old is your habitation." In Psalm 90:1 Moses says, "O Lord, You have been our dwelling place in all generations." The New Testament reveals clearly that there is a universal building, and this building is the mutual building of God and His chosen people. Actually, this habitation is God as our dwelling place and we as God's dwelling place. This wonderful dwelling place is God's building.
