생명의 창시자

성경말씀

(행3:14~15) 여러분은 거룩하고 의로우신 분을 거절하고 살인자를 놓아달라고 하였습니다. 여러분은 생명의 창시자를 죽였으나, 하나님은 예수님을 죽은 사람들 가운데서 살리셨으니, 우리가 이 일의 증인들입니다.

오늘의 만나

사도행전 3장 15절의 '창시자'에 해당하는 헬라어는 아르케고스로 '창시자' '기원' '기원자' '최고 지도자' '대장'을 의미합니다. 여기에서 이 단어는 생명의 기원 혹은 기원자이신 그리스도를 가리키며, 따라서 생명의 창시자는 앞절의 '살인자'와 대조를 이룹니다. 여기서 베드로는 치료자가 이 생명의 근원, 생명의 기원자, 즉 생명의 창시자요, 최고 대장이라고 말하고 있습니다. 우리는 사도행전 3장에서 다만 치유의 문제만 보는 것이 아닙니다. 여기서 우리는 생명이 다른 사람들 안으로 분배되는 것을 봅니다. 이것이 그리스도를 확산하는 것입니다. 그러한 확산을 위해 우리는 생명의 창시자이신, 생명의 근원이신 주님이 필요합니다. 우리는 생명이 있는 곳, 생명이 발원하는 곳이 어딘지 볼 필요가 있습니다. 15절의 '창시자'라는 단어는 생명이 이 치료자 즉 거룩한 분이시요 의로우신 분에게서 나온다는 것을 가리킵니다. 이 치료자는 치료할 능력만 가지신 것이 아니라 그분 자신이 생명의 근원, 생명의 기원이십니다. 왜냐하면 그분이 생명의 창시자, 기원자이시기 때문입니다. 우리가 생명을 소유할 때 또한 치유를 받게 됩니다. 사람들이 아픈 이유는 그들이 생명에 있어서 약하기 때문입니다. 의사는 우리가 생명에 있어서 아플 때 우리가 병든다는 것을 압니다. 그러나 우리가 생명에 있어서 강할 때, 그 생명은 죽음을 삼킬 것입니다. Words of Ministry

Here the Greek word rendered “Author” is archegos, meaning author, origin, originator, chief leader, captain. It denotes Christ as the origin or Originator of life, hence, the Author of life, in contrast to the murderer in the previous verse. Here Peter is saying that the Healer is the source of life, the Originator of life; He is the Author, the Chief Leader, in life. What we have in chapter three of Acts is not merely a matter of healing. Here we see the imparting of life into others. This is to propagate Christ. For such a propagation, we need the Lord as the Author of life, as the source of life. We need to see where life is, where life comes from. The word “Author” in verse 15 indicates that life comes from this Healer, who is the Holy One and the Righteous One. This Healer has not only the power to heal; He Himself is the source, the origin of life, for He is the Author, the Originator of life. When we have life, we also have healing. The reason people become sick is that they are weak in life. Medical doctors know that when we are weak in life, we may become ill. But if we are strong in life, the life will swallow up death.
