그리스도를 빛으로 체험함

성경말씀

(요8:12) 예수님께서 다시 사람들에게 말씀하셨다. "나는 세상의 빛이니, 나를 따르는 사람은 결코 어둠 속에 다니지 않고, 생명의 빛을 얻을 것입니다."

오늘의 만나

그리스도는 유일한 빛이십니다. 그분을 떠나면 빛은 없는 것입니다. 그렇게 많은 그리스도인들이 어둠 가운데 있는 이유는 그들이 그리스도를 체험적인 방식으로 소유하지 않는 데 있습니다. 신학교에 있는 이들은 신학과 기독론을 공부할지 모르지만, 그들은 하나님 그리고 그리스도에 대한 참된 체험을 갖고 있지 않을 수도 있습니다. 그러므로 그들은 빛이 없습니다. 많은 믿는 이들이 성경은 빛으로 가득하다고 말합니다. 물론 이것은 사실입니다. 그러나 만일 우리가 주님의 임재 안에서 성경을 읽지 않는다면, 우리가 성경을 읽는 것조차 어둠 가운데 있게 될 것입니다. 우리는 주 예수께서 요한 복음 5장 39절과 40절에서 언급한 바리새인들과 같게 될 것입니다. '여러분이 성경 안에서 영원한 생명을 얻는 줄로 생각하기 때문에 성경을 연구하는데, 이 성경은 바로 나에 대하여 증언하는 것입니다. 그런데 여러분은 생명을 얻기 위하여 나에게 오려고 하지 않습니다. 그리스도께서 눈멀었다고 말씀하셨을 때 종교적인 사람들은 마음이 상했습니다(요9:39-41). 그들은 외적인 방식으로 성경을 갖고 있기 때문에 빛 가운데 있다고 생각했습니다. 그러나 사실 그들은 세상의 유일한 빛이신 그리스도를 갖지 못했으므로 눈멀었던 것입니다. 그리스도께서 임재하지 않는 곳은 어디든지 어둠의 권세 아래 있는 것입니다. 우리는 이 원칙을 우리 자신에게 적용할 필요가 있습니다. 우리 존재의 어떤 부분이든 우리 매일의 생활의 어떤 부분이든 그리스도가 없다면 어둠 안에 있는 것입니다. 만일 우리가 그리스도를 체험적으로 갖지 못하거나, 우리의 매일의 행함에서 실제적인 방식으로 갖지 못한다면 우리는 어둠 안에 있는 것입니다. Experiencing Christ as Light

John 8:12 Again therefore Jesus spoke to them, saying, I am the light of the world; he who follows Me shall by no means walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

Christ is the unique light. Apart from Him, there is no light. The reason so many Christians are in darkness is that they do not have Christ in an experiential way. Those in the seminaries may study theology and Christology, but they may not have the genuine experience of God and of Christ. Therefore, they are without light. Many believers insist that the Bible is full of light. This, of course, is true. But if we do not read the Word in the Lord's presence, even our reading of the Scriptures will be in darkness. We shall be like the Pharisees addressed by the Lord Jesus in John 5:39 and 40: "You search the Scriptures, because you think that in them you have eternal life, and it is these that testify concerning Me; and you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life." The religionists were offended when Christ told them they were blind (John 9:39- 41). They thought they were in light because they had the Scriptures in an outward way. But actually they were blind because they did not have Christ, who alone is the light of the world. Any place where the Lord Jesus is not present is under the authority of darkness. We need to apply this principle to ourselves. Any part of our being or of our daily life that is without Christ is in darkness. If we...do not have Christ experientially and in a practical way in our daily walk, we are in darkness.
