그리스도를 받아들이고 적용함

성경말씀

(골2:6) 여러분이 그리스도 곧 주 예수님을 받아들였으니, 그분 안에서 행하십시오. 갈5:16 내가 말합니다. 그 영을 따라 행하십시오. 그러면 여러분은 결코 육체의 욕망을 채우지 않을 것입니다.

오늘의 만나

우리가 한번 그리스도 예수님을 영접하면 다시 영접할 필요가 없습니다. 그러나 우리는 영접한 그분을 생활 속에서 적용해야 합니다. 그리스도를 영접한 사람들 중 극히 일부분만이 그분을 적용합니다. 우리 모두는 매일매일 사신 그리스도를 실제적으로 적용하기를 실행해야 합니다. 오십여년 동안 나는 그리스도를 사용하는 방법을 배워왔습니다. 본래 우리가 그리스도를 사용하는 것도 자연스럽지 않고 우리의 훈련조건도 그분을 사용하는 것이 자연스럽지 않기 때문에, 이것이 어려운 것임을 간증할 수 있습니다. 요즈음 주님에 대한 나의 고백은 대부분 그리스도를 적용하기를 실패한 것에 관련되어 있습니다. 그리스도인으로서 우리가 가장 배우기 힘든 공과는 그리스도를 적용하고 사용하는 것입니다. 우리 모두가 주 예수를 영접했지만 그분을 사용하고 적용하는 것은 매우 부족합니다. 우리가 일상생활에서 실재적인 방법으로 그리스도를 적용하지 못한다면 그분을 영접한 의미가 별로 없습니다. 그리스도에 대한 우리의 체험이 피상적이어서는 안됩니다. 우리는 그렇게 많은 일들을 당연한 것으로 받아들이지 말아야 합니다. 우리는 그리스도 안에 있는 하나님의 구원에 대해 감사하고, 우리가 그리스도를 영접한 것을 감사하게 여깁니다. 그러나 지금 우리는 영접한 그분을 계속해서 적용해 나가야 합니다. Once we have received Christ Jesus, we need not receive Him again. But we must apply what we have received. However, only a very small percentage of those who have received Christ apply Him. We all must practice to apply the living Christ in a practical way day by day. To employ a common term, we need to use Christ. For more than fifty years, I have been learning how to use Christ. I can testify that this is difficult because by birth it is not natural for us to use Christ, nor does our training condition us to use Him. Recently, most of my confession to the Lord has been related to my failure to apply Him. The hardest lesson for us to learn as Christians is to apply Christ and to use Him. Although we have all received the Lord Jesus, we are very short in using Him, in applying Him. If we fail to apply Him, then in a practical way in our daily living there is little significance to having received Him. Our experience of Christ should not be so superficial, and we should not take so many things for granted. We are thankful for God's salvation in Christ, and we are grateful that we have received Him. But now we must go on to apply the very One we have received.
