진리 이만나

믿음과 사랑

성경말씀

(골1:3~5) 우리는 항상 여러분을 위하여 기도할 때에 하나님, 곧 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 아버지께 감사드립니다. 왜냐하면 그리스도 예수님 안에 있는 여러분의 믿음과 모든 성도에 대한 여러분의 사랑을 우리가 들었기 때문입니다. 그러한 믿음과 사랑은 여러분을 위하여 하늘들에 쌓아 둔 소망에서 비롯된 것입니다. 이 소망은 여러분이 전에 복음 진리의 말씀에서 들은 것입니다.
(요일3:14) 우리들은 형제들을 사랑하기 때문에 죽음에서 나와서 생명 안으로 들어갔다는 것을 압니다. 형제를 사랑하지 않는 사람은 죽음에 거합니다.

오늘의 만나

믿음은 그리스도 안에서 무엇인가를 깨닫고 받는 것이며, 사랑은 그리스도로부터 받은 것을 체험하고 누리는 것이며, 소망은 그리스도 안에서 영광스럽게 될 것을 기대하고 기다리는 것입니다. 참된 그리스도인은 모두 주님 안에서 믿음을 가지고 있고, 모든 성도에 대한 사랑을 가지고 있습니다. 이 두 가지가 참그리스도인임을 증명합니다. 성도에 대한 사랑은 항상 주님에 대한 믿음과 병행합니다. 이 둘은 나누어질 수 없는 것입니다. 우리는 그리스도를 처음 믿을 때부터 다른 성도에 대해서, 그들의 국적이 어디이든 저절로 사랑을 느낍니다. 나의 본성이나 배경을 본다면, 나는 결코 일본사람을 사랑할 수 없습니다. 나는 젊었을 때 일본이 중국에 해를 입혔기 때문에 일본사람을 미워했습니다. 그러나 내가 구원을 받고 주님의 사역 안에 들어온 후, 만주에 있는 어떤 일본 형제로부터 초대를 받은 적이 있었습니다. 나는 일본인 형제들이 모인 가정집회에 참석했습니다. 그 방에 들어가자마자 내 안에서는 그곳에 있는 형제들에 대한 사랑이 솟아났습니다. 일본사람에 대한 나의 증오심은 사라졌습니다. 그 형제들도 주님을 믿었고, 나도 주님을 믿었습니다. 그러므로 우리는 그리스도 안에서 함께 믿는자들로서 서로 사랑할 수 있었습니다. 이것은 인간적인 사랑이 아니며, 주님 안에서 우리의 믿음으로부터 나오는 사랑입니다. Words of Ministry

Faith is to realize and receive what is in Christ, love is to experience and enjoy what we have received of Christ, and hope is to expect and wait for the glorification in Christ. Every genuine Christian has faith in the Lord Jesus and love toward all the saints [all believers]. These two things prove that we are real Christians. Love for the saints must always go along with faith in the Lord Jesus. They cannot be divorced. From the time we first believe in Christ, we spontaneously have love for other believers, no matter what their nationality may be. According to my nature and my background, I could never love the Japanese. When I was a youth, I actually hated them because of the damage Japan had caused to China. But after I had been saved and had entered into the Lord's ministry, I was invited to visit some Japanese brothers in Manchuria. As soon as I entered into the room, spontaneously a love for those brothers welled up within me. My hatred for the Japanese vanished. Those brothers believed in the Lord Jesus, and I believed in Him also. Therefore, we could love one another as fellow believers in Christ. This love is not a natural love, but a love that comes out of our faith in the Lord Jesus. We have to love all the saints, just as the Colossians loved all the saints, regardless of their nationality and regardless of whether they were Jew or Gentile.
