천연적인 지식으로 그리스도를 배척함

(마13:54~57) 고향으로 가시어 회당에서 가르치시니, 그들이 크게 놀라 말하였다. "이 사람이 어디서 이러한 지혜와 능력의 일을 얻었습니까? 이 사람은 그 목수의 아들이 아닙니까? 그의 어머니는 마리아, 그의 형제들은 야고보, 요셉, 시몬, 유다가 아닙니까? 그의 누이들은 다 우리와 함께 있지 않습니까? 그런데 이 사람이 어디서 이 모든 것을 얻었습니까?" 그들이 예수님 때문에 실족하니, 예수님께서 그들에게 "신언자가 자기 고향과 자기 집 밖에서는 존경을 받지 못하는 일이 없습니다"라고 하시고

오늘의 만나

하늘에 속한 왕은 첫 번째로 유대 종교자들에게 배척받았습니다(마12:22~24). 종교 지도자들은 종교적인 수건에 의해 가려져 있고 점유되어 있었기 때문에 그리스도를 극도로 배척하였습니다. 왜냐하면 종교는 그들에게 모든 것이었기 때문에 그들은 하늘에 속한 왕을 알아보지 못하였습니다. 종교의 중심지인 예루살렘에서 배척당하신 후에 주님은 자신이 태어나고 자란 갈릴리로 향했습니다. 갈릴리 사람들은 주님을 대적하지는 않았지만 여전히 그들의 천연적인 지식으로 그리스도를 배척하였습니다. 위의 구절에서 우리는 갈릴리 사람들이 주님을 성령에 의해서가 아니라 혈육에 따라서 알았음을 볼 수 있습니다. 그들이 주님에 대해서 모든 것을 알았지만 그들은 자신들의 천연적인 지식에 의해서 눈멀어 있었습니다. 그들은 주님이 행하신 놀라운 일들과 기적들을 보았지만 그들의 천연적인 관념에 의해 이미 점유되어 있었습니다. 종교적인 사람들은 그들의 종교와 종교적인 관념들로 인한 선입관이 있었으며, 갈릴리 사람들은 그들의 천연적인 지식으로 인해 선입관을 가지고 있었습니다. 천연적인 지식으로 그리스도를 알려고 한다면 결과적으로는 그분을 배척하게 될 것입니다. 천연적인 지식에 따르면 그리스도는 목수의 아들이었으며 그의 어머니는 평범한 여인이었습니다. 그의 고향 사람들은 모두 그의 외적인 것을 알고 있었으나 하나님이 그분 안에 계시다는 것은 보지 못했습니다. Rejecting Christ Because of Natural Knowledge

Matthew 13:54 And He came into His own country and taught them in their synagogue, so that they were astounded and said, Where did this man get this wisdom and these works of power? (55) Is not this the carpenter's son? Is not His mother called Mary, and His brothers James and Joseph and Simon and Judas? (56) And His sisters, are they not all with us? Where then did this man get all these things? (57) And they were stumbled because of Him.

Words of Ministry

The heavenly King was rejected firstly by the Jewish religionists [Matt. 12:22-24]. The religious leaders rejected Christ to the uttermost because they were fully occupied, possessed, and veiled by their religion. Because religion was everything to them, they could not recognize this heavenly King. After the Lord had been rejected in Jerusalem, the religious center, He turned to... Galilee, the place were He was born and raised. Although the Galileans did not oppose Him, they rejected Him because of their natural knowledge. [In the verses above] we see that the Galileans knew Him according to the flesh, not according to the spirit. Thinking that they knew everything about Him, they were blinded by their natural knowledge. They saw the wonders, the miracles, He did, but they were preoccupied by their natural concepts. The religious people were preoccupied by their religion and by their religious concepts, and the Galileans were preoccupied by their natural knowledge. Any attempt to know Christ by natural knowledge will result in rejection. According to natural knowledge, Christ was the son of a carpenter and his mother was an ordinary woman. His countrymen knew all of His outward features, but they did not see that God was in Him.
