긍휼히 여기는 사람들의 복

성경말씀

(마5:7) 긍휼히 여기는 사람들은 복이 있습니다. 왜냐하면 그들이 긍휼히 여김을 받을 것이기 때문입니다.
(약2:13) 긍휼을 베풀지 않는 사람에게는 긍휼이 없는 심판이 있기 때문입니다. 긍휼은 심판을 이깁니다.

오늘의 만나

의롭게 되는 것은 엄격한 방법으로 여러분 자신을 다루는 것입니다. 우리는 자신을 다루는 데 있어서 엄격해야 합니다. 우리는 자신에게 어떤 변명도 해서는 안됩니다. 그러나 다른 사람들을 향해서 우리는 긍휼을 베풀어야 합니다. 만일 우리가 뛰어난 의를 부지런히 추구한다면 결국 다른 사람들을 향해서 긍휼을 베풀게 될 것입니다. 추구하는데 있어서 우리는 천연적인 사람이 약해서 곧잘 실패하는 것을 발견하게 될 것입니다. 만일 여러분이 천연적인 사람의 가련한 상태를 깨닫지 못한다면 여러분은 결코 다른 사람들에게 긍휼을 베풀 수 없습니다. 그들에게 긍휼을 보이는 대신 여러분은 그들이 실패하거나 타락했을 때 그들을 정죄할 것입니다. 여러분이 그들을 정죄하는 이유는 여러분이 자신을 모르기 때문입니다. 만일 여러분이 자신을 안다면 어떤 사람이 실패할 때마다 이렇게 말할 것입니다. "주 예수님, 나와 그 형제에게 긍휼을 베푸소서. 우리는 모두 약한 그릇이며 당신의 요구를 이룰 수 없습니다. 주님, 그 형제가 내 마음을 상하게 하더라도 나는 여전히 긍휼을 베풀겠습니다." 만일 여러분이 결코 실패한 적이 없다면 여러분은 결코 긍휼을 베풀지 못할 것입니다. 그러나 만일 여러분이 얼마나 약하며 얼마나 많은 실수를 했는가를 안다면 여러분은 다른 사람들에게 긍휼을 보일 것입니다. 만일 여러분이 오늘 긍휼이 없이 형제를 판단한다면 여러분은 그리스도의 심판대에서 어떤 긍휼도 받지 못할 것입니다. 여러분이 긍휼이 없이 다른 사람들을 판단했기 때문에 그리스도께서도 여러분을 긍휼이 없이 판단하실 것입니다. 그러나 만일 여러분이 형제에게 긍휼을 베푼다면 주님은 그분의 심판대에서 여러분에게 긍휼을 베푸실 것입니다. 따라서 왕국 백성들은 자신들을 엄격하게 다루어야 하지만 다른 사람들을 대하는 것에 있어서는 많은 긍휼을 베풀어야 합니다. Matthew 5:7 Blessed are the merciful, for they shall be shown mercy. James 2:13 For the judgment is without mercy to him who has shown no mercy; mercy triumphs over judgment.

Words of Ministry

To be righteous is to deal with yourself in a strict way. We must be righteous in dealing with ourselves. We should not give ourselves any excuse. Toward others, however, we must be merciful. If we are diligent to seek the surpassing righteousness, we shall eventually become merciful toward others. In our seeking we shall find that our natural man is weak and that we are prone to failure. If you do not realize the pitiful condition of your natural man, you will never have mercy on others. Instead of showing mercy to them, you will condemn them when they fail or fall. The reason you condemn them is that you do not know yourself. If you know yourself, whenever someone fails, you will say, “Lord, have mercy on me and on my brother. We all are weak vessels and cannot fulfill Your requirements. Lord, even though my brother has offended me, I would still be merciful toward him.” If you have never failed, you will never be merciful. But if you know how weak you are and how many mistakes you have made, you will be merciful to others. If you judge your brother without mercy today, you will not receive any mercy at the judgment seat of Christ. Because you judge others unmercifully, Christ will judge you unmercifully. But if you have mercy on your brother, the Lord will have mercy on you at His judgment seat. Thus, the kingdom people are strict in dealing with themselves, but very merciful in dealing with others.
