아버지와 아들이 하나임

성경말씀

(요14:6~9) 예수님께서 그에게 말씀하셨다. "내가 곧 길이요, 실재요, 생명이니, 나를 통하지 않고서는 아무도 아버지께로 가지 못합니다. 여러분이 나를 알았더라면 내 아버지도 알았을 것입니다. 이제는 여러분이 내 아버지를 알고 있으며, 그분을 이미 보았습니다." 빌립이 예수님께 "주님, 아버지를 우리에게 보여 주십시오, 그러면 우리가 만족하겠습니다."라고 하니 예수님께서 그에게 말씀하셨다. "빌립이여, 내가 이렇게 오래동안 여러분과 함께 있었는데도, 그대가 나를 알지 못하십니까? 나를 본 사람은 아버지를 본 것인데, 어떻게 아버지를 보여 달라고 하십니까? 
(10:30) 나와 아버지는 하나입니다.

오늘의 만나

심지어 지금 이 순간까지도 여기에 있는 주님의 말씀은 하나의 비밀로 남아 있습니다. 그 말씀은 무슨 뜻입니까? 한면에서 그 말씀은 아버지와 아들이 바로 하나라는 것이고, 다른 한면으로는 그분들이 여전히 둘이라는 것입니다. 만일 여러분이 어떻게 그럴 수가 있느냐고 내게 묻는다면 나는 이렇게 말할 것입니다. "나는 모릅니다. 내가 오직 아는 것은 한면으로 아버지와 아들은 하나이며, 만일 여러분이 한 분을 보았다면 그 두 분은 하나이기 때문에 여러분은 다른 한 분도 본 셈이라는 것입니다. 아버지는 아들 안에 계십니다. 만일 여러분이 아들을 보았다면 틀림없이 여러분은 아버지를 본 것입니다. 그러나 다른 한면으로 그분들은 여전히 둘입니다." 이것이 바로 삼일 하나님의 비밀입니다. 다시 한번 말하지만, 우리는 이 문제를 충분하게 설명할 수 없습니다. 왜냐하면 우리의 제한된 이해력으로는 그분들이 어떻게 하나일 수 있는지 이해하기가 너무 어렵기 때문입니다. 그 두 분은 하나이실 수 있습니다. 우리의 제한된 이해력으로는 아들은 아들이고 아버지는 아버지이므로 그 두 분은 뚜렷하게 서로 분리됩니다. 그러나 주님은 '아들과 아버지가 하나' 라고 분명하게 말씀하십니다. 여기서 나는 결코 주님께서 그분과 아버지가 둘이라고 말씀하시지 않으신다는 것을 강하게 말하고자 합니다. 우리는 우리의 추측이 아닌 주님의 명백하고도 분명한 말씀에 따라 삼일성의 비밀을 취해야 합니다. The Son and the Father Being One

John 14:6~9 Jesus said to him, I am the way and the reality and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me. If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and henceforth you know Him and have seen Him. Philip said to Him, Lord, show us the Father and it is sufficient for us. Jesus said to him, Have I been so long a time with you, and you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how is it that you say, Show us the Father? (10:30) I [Jesus] and the Father are one.

Words of Ministry

Even up until this very moment, the Lord's word here remains a mystery. What does it mean? On the one hand, it means that the Father and the Son are just one and, on the other hand, that They are still two. If you were to ask me how this could be, I would say, “I don't know. I only know that on the one hand the Father and the Son are one, that if you see the one then you see the other because the two are one. The Father is in the Son. If you see the Son, then surely you see the Father. But, on the other hand, they are still two.” This is the mystery of the Triune God. Again I say, we cannot explain this matter adequately because it is very difficult for our limited mentality to understand how They two could be one. In our limited understanding, the Son is the Son, the Father is the Father, and the two are distinctly separate one from the other. But the Lord tells us clearly that the Son and the Father are one. Here I strongly say that the Lord never says that He and the Father are two. We have to take the mystery of the Trinity according to the Lord's definite and clear word, not according to our suppositions.
