그분의 자비와 사랑, 갈망과 선호를 앎

성경말씀

(눅10:42) 필요한 것은 한 가지뿐입니다. 마리아는 좋은 편을 선택하였으니, 빼앗기지 않을 것입니다. 
(마26:12~13) 이 여인이 내 몸에 향유를 부은 것은 내 장사를 위하여 한 것입니다. 내가 진실로 여러분에게 말합니다. 온 세상 어디서든지 이 복음이 선포되는 곳마다 이 여인이 행한 것도 전해져서, 사람들이 이 여인을 기억하게 될 것입니다.

오늘의 만나

누가복음 10장 25절부터 42절의 두 사례, 주님이 자신을 선한 사마리아인으로 묘사하시는 것과 마르다에 의해 영접되시는 것은 서로 연관되어 있습니다. 첫째는 우리의 구원을 위해 구주의 자비와 사랑을 보여주며, 둘째는 그분을 향한 우리의 섬김을 위해 그분의 갈망과 선호를 밝힙니다. 우리는 주님을 이 두 방면에서 알아야 합니다. 우리는 구원 안에서 그분의 자비와 사랑을 알아야 하고, 우리의 봉사를 위해 그분의 갈망과 선호를 알아야 합니다. 주님을 위해 어떠한 것을 하기 전에 우리는 먼저 우리의 구원과 연관된 그분의 자비와 사랑을 알아야 하며, 우리의 섬김에 연관된 그분의 갈망과 선호를 알아야 합니다. 이것은 십자가 위에서 우리 천연적인 사람을 버려야 함을 암시합니다. 우리의 구원을 위해서 우리는 아무 것도 할 필요가 없으며, 주님을 섬김에 있어서 우리 스스로 어떤 것을 해서는 안 됩니다. 구원과 봉사의 두 가지에 관하여 우리는 십자가 위에 있어야 합니다. 그럴 때 우리는 우리의 구원에 대한 사람-구주의 자비와 사랑을 알게 되고 우리의 섬김을 위한 그분의 갈망과 선호를 알게 될 것입니다. '마리아'라는 이름은 히브리어 미리암에 해당하는 헬라어 마리아에서 왔으며 "그들의 반역"을 의미합니다. 그러나 반역하는 사람이 순종하는 사람이 되는 것은 가능한 일입니다. 마리아의 본성은 반역적이었지만 주님의 자비와 사랑에 대해서뿐만 아니라, 그분의 갈망과 선호에 대해서도 순종적이 되었습니다. 그러므로 신약 안에서 마리아는 주님의 갈망을 최고도로 만진 유일한 사람이었습니다. 이 때문에 그녀는 주님을 따르는 자들을 위한 본이 된 것입니다. 우리 모두는 주님을 따르는 것에 있어서, 그분을 섬기는 것에 있어서 마땅히 마리아와 같아야 합니다. 마리아를 본으로 취할 때, 우리는 원래 그녀가 반역적이었다는 것을 기억해야 합니다. 사람 -구주의 자비와 긍휼로 말미암아 그녀는 순종적인 사람, 주님을 사랑하고 섬기지만 자신의 의견이나 노력이 아닌 그분의 갈망과 선호에 따라 섬기는 사람이 되었습니다. 여기에서 우리는 우리가 구원받고 그분을 섬기는 합당한 방법을 봅니다. Luke 10:42 But there is need of one thing, for Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her. Matthew 26:12~13 For in pouring out this ointment on My body, she [Mary] has done it for My burial. Truly I say to you, Wherever this gospel is proclaimed in the whole world, what this woman has done shall also be told as a memorial of her.

Words of Ministry

The two cases in Luke 10:25-42, the Lord's portraying Himself as the good Samaritan and His being received by Martha, are related. The first shows the Savior's compassion and love for our salvation, and the second reveals His desire and preference for our service to Him. We need to know the Lord in these two aspects. Before doing anything for the Lord, we must first know His compassion and love related to our salvation and His desire and preference related to our service. This implies that we leave our natural man on the cross. There is no need for us to do anything for our salvation, and we should not do anything in ourselves in the Lord's service. With respect to both salvation and service we should remain on the cross. Then we shall know the Man- Savior's compassion and love for our salvation and His desire and preference for our service. ...[The name] Mary comes from Maria, Greek for Hebrew Miriam, meaning "their rebellion." However, it is possible for a rebellious one to become a submissive one. In nature Mary was rebellious, but she became submissive not only to the Lord's compassion and love but also to His desire and preference. Therefore, in the New Testament Mary was the unique one who touched the Lord's desire to the uttermost. For this reason she is set forth as an example for the followers of the Lord. We all should be like Mary in following the Lord and in serving Him. In taking Mary as an example, we need to remember that originally she was rebellious. By the Man-Savior's compassion and mercy she was made a submissive one, one who loved the Lord and served Him not according to her opinion or by her effort, but according to His desire and preference. Here we see the way for us to be saved and the proper way for us to serve Him.
