그리스도께서 영 단번에 성취한 것은 영원함(2)

성경말씀

(벧전1:19~20) 흠이 없고 점도 없는 어린양의 피와 같은, 그리스도의 보배로운 피로 된 것입니다. 하나님은 이 그리스도를 창세 전에 미리 알고 계셨으나, 모든 시대의 마지막에 여러분을 위하여 나타내셨습니다. 
(히9:14) 더욱이 영원하신 영을 통하여 흠이 없는 자신을 하나님께 드리신 그리스도의 피는 살아 계신 하나님을 섬기게 하기 위하여 죽은 행실에서 벗어나도록 우리의 양심을 얼마나 정결하게 하겠습니까?

오늘의 만나

그리스도는 창세 전에 하나님의 미리 아심에 따라, 하나님의 선민을 위한 구속하는 어린양이 되도록 하나님에 의해 미리 정해지셨고, 예비되셨습니다. 이것은 그리스도께서 영원 안에서, 미리 알려지셨고 예비되었다는 것을 의미합니다. 그러나 그리스도의 죽음은 시간 안에서 성취되었습니다. 비록 그리스도의 구속이 시간 안에서 성취되었지만 영원한 것입니다. 그리스도께서 그분의 죽음을 통하여 성취하신 것은 영원하기 때문에 히브리서 9장12절에서 '영원한 구속'이라고 말하는 것입니다. 바울은 "내가 그리스도와 함께 십자가에 못 박혔나니"라고 말할 수 있었습니다(갈 2:20). 바울과 마찬가지로 우리 또한 그리스도와 함께 십자가에 못박혔다고 선포할 수 있습니다. 이것은 우리가 태어나기 오래 전에, 그리스도와 함께 못박혔다는 것을 의미합니다. 언제 우리가 그리스도와 함께 십자가에 못박혔습니까? 우리는 창세로부터 그분과 함께 십자가에 못박혔습니다. 그러므로 우리는 태어나기 전부터 십자가에 못박혔습니다. 그리스도께서 창세로부터 십자가에 못박혔기 때문에 회개한 죄인이 주 예수님께 자신을 위해서 죽어달라고 요청할 필요가 없었습니다. 만일 이러하다면 주님은 반복해서 죽어야 했을 것입니다. 그러나 그분은 영 단번에 십자가에 못 박히셨습니다. 그분은 영 단번에 죽으신 것입니다. 1 Pet1:19~20 But with precious blood, as of a Lamb without blemish and without spot, the blood of Christ; Who was foreknown before the foundation of the world but has been manifested in the last of times for your sake, Heb 9:14 How much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, purify our conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

Words of Ministry

Christ was foreordained, prepared, by God to be the redeeming Lamb for His elect according to His foreknowledge before the foundation of the world. This means that Christ was foreknown and prepared in eternity. But His death was accomplished...in time. Although it was accomplished in time, Christ's redemption is eternal. Because what Christ accomplished through His death is eternal, it is called in Hebrews 9:12 an eternal redemption. Because the crucifixion of Christ is eternal, Paul could say, "I have been crucified with Christ" (Gal 2:20). With Paul, we can declare that we also have been crucified with Christ. This means that we were crucified with Christ long before we were born. When were we crucified with Christ? We were crucified with Him from the foundation of the world. Therefore, we were crucified before we were born. Since Christ was crucified from the foundation of the world, there is no need for a repentant sinner to ask the Lord Jesus to die for him. If this were necessary, then the Lord would need to die again and again. However, He was crucified once for all; He died once for all.
