회개하여 새로움을 누림

성경말씀

(행3:19~20) 그러므로 여러분은 회개하고 돌이켜, 여러분의 죄들이 지워지도록 하십시오. 그러면 새롭게 되는 때가 주님의 면전으로부터 올 것이고, 하나님께서 여러분을 위하여 미리 임명하신 그리스도, 곧 예수님을 보내실 것입니다.

오늘의 만나

베드로전서 3장 19절과 20절에서 베드로는 유대인들에게 회개하고 돌이켜 승천하고 다시 오실 그리스도께 참여하고 그분을 누리도록 권면하고 있습니다. 여기서 베드로는 다음과 같이 말하는 것 같습니다. '여러분은 매우 어리석은 일을 했었습니다. 그러나 이제 당신은 회개하고 돌이켜서 승천하고 다시 오실 그리스도께 참여하고, 그분을 누려야 합니다. 그리스도는 하나님의 종, 거룩하신 분, 의로우신 분, 생명의 창시자이십니다. 그분은 모든 것을 성취하셨고, 모든 것에 도달하시고 모든 것을 획득하셨습니다. 이제 그분은 하늘들에 계십니다. 그러나 그분은 다시 오실 것입니다. 이 그리스도가 당신의 분깃입니다. 회개하십시오. 돌이키십시오. 그러면 그분께 참여하고 그분을 누리게 될 것입니다. 만일 여러분이 그분께 온다면 여러분은 그분을 누릴 것입니다.' 3장 20절에서 '새롭게 되는'에 해당하는 헬라어의 문자적 의미는 시원케 함, 부흥시킴, 즉 안도하게 하고, 새롭게 하는 것입니다. 새롭게 되는 때는 기쁨과 안식으로 모든 것들이 부흥케 되는 때입니다. 사실 모든 합당한 회개는 새롭게 되는 때입니다. 모든 참된 거듭남은 누림의 때입니다. 우리가 구원 받았을 때, 우리는 누림의 때를 가졌습니다. 그 때에 우리는 기쁨과 평강을 가졌습니다. 우리는 그리스도 그분 자신을 우리의 기쁨과 평강으로 누렸습니다. 우리 모두는 어느정도 이것을 체험했습니다. 사실 새롭게 되는 때는 그리스도 그분 자신입니다. 우리가 그분을 소유할 때, 우리는 새롭게 하시는 그분을 소유하는 것입니다. 그분은 우리의 누림이자 평강이십니다. Repent to Enjoy the Refreshing

Words of Ministry

In 3:19-26 Peter exhorts the Jews to repent and turn so that they may partake of and enjoy the ascended and coming Christ. Here Peter seems to be saying, “You did something very foolish, but now you need to repent and turn so that you may partake of the ascended and coming Christ and enjoy Him. Christ is the Servant of God, the Holy One, the Righteous One, and the Author of life. He has accomplished everything, and He has attained and obtained all things. He is now in the heavens, but He will come back. This Christ is your portion. Repent, turn, and come to participate in Him and enjoy Him. If you come to Him you will enjoy Him.” In 3:20, the Greek word for “refreshing” literally means cooling, reviving; hence, relieving, refreshing. The seasons of refreshing denote a time of revival of all things with joy and rest. Actually, every proper conversion is a season of refreshing. Every genuine regeneration is a time of enjoyment. When we were saved, we had a time of enjoyment. During that time we had joy and peace. We enjoyed Christ Himself as our joy and peace. To some extent, we all have experienced this. Actually, the season of refreshing is Christ Himself. When we have Him, we have Him as our refreshing. He is our enjoyment and peace.
