(골2:13~15) 허물과 육체의 무할례로 죽어 있었던 여러분을 하나님께서 그리스도와 함께 살리셨고, 우리의 모든 허물을 용서해 주셨습니다. 우리를 대적하고 우리를 반대하는, 규례들이 적혀 있는 증서를 하나님께서 지워 버리셨고, 그것을 십자가에 못박으시어 우리 가운데서 없애 버리셨습니다. 하나님께서 통치자들과 권세자들을 벗기시어 공개적으로 드러내시고, 십자가로 그들을 이기셨습니다.

골로새서 2장 15절의 '벗기다'의 헬라어는 '제하여 버리다'로 번역될 수 있습니다. 이 구절에서 말하는 통치와 권세는 천사의 통치와 권세입니다. 이 구절은 악한 천사들을 가리킵니다. 헬라어의 '드러내다'는 말은 공개적으로 수치를 당하도록 보이고 전시한다는 의미입니다. 하나님은 십자가 위에서 악한 천사의 통치와 권세를 공개적으로 부끄럼 당하게 하셨고, 그 안에서 승리하셨습니다. 하나님은 이미 우리를 십자가 위에서 심판하셨으므로, 우리를 심판하기 위하여 여기에 계시는 것이 아닙니다. 그분은 또한 이미 우리를 처리하셨으므로, 우리를 처리하기 위하여 여기에 계시는 것도 아닙니다. 하나님은 여기에 한 가지 즉 우리 안에 생명을 분배하심으로써 우리를 소생시키기 위하여 계십니다. 삼일 하나님은 생명주는 영으로서 우리에게 생명을 주고 계십니다. 교회 생활의 모임에서 우리는 살리심을 받고 있습니다. 이점에 관하여 율법과 천사들에게 조금의 여지도 없습니다. 우리는 통치와 권세들에게, 하나님께서 갈보리에서 그들을 벗어 버리고 승리하셨음을 상기시켜야 합니다. 하나님의 승리에 근거하여, 우리는 그들에게 사라져 버리라고 명령할 수 있습니다. 오늘날 우리에게 필요한 것은 율법이나 천사들이 아니라, 살려주는 분, 생명 주는 분이십니다. 이것이 하나님의 구원의 경륜입니다. Colossians 2:13 And you, though dead in your offenses and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our offenses; (14) Wiping out the handwriting in ordinances, which was against us, which was contrary to us; and He has taken it out of the way, nailing it to the cross. (15) Stripping off the rulers and the authorities, He made a display of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

| In verse 15...The Greek for “stripping off”also be rendered “putting off.” The rulers and authorities spoken of in this verse are the angelic rulers and authorities. ...the passage here refers to the evil angels. The Greek word for make a display means show or exhibit in the sense of putting to an open shame. God openly shamed the evil angelic rulers and authorities on the cross and triumphed over them in it. ...God is not here to judge us, for He has already judged us on the cross. He is not even here to deal with us, because He has dealt with us already. God is here to accomplish one thing-to enliven us by imparting life into us. As the life-giving Spirit, the Triune God is giving life to us. In the meetings of the church life, we are being enlivened. Concerning this, the law and the angels have no place. We should remind the rulers and authorities that at Calvary God stripped them off and triumphed over them. Based upon God's victory, we can order them to flee. What we need today is not the law or the angels, but the enlivening One, the life- giving One. This is the economy of God's salvation. | |
