현인들은 이상을 보았고 그것이 유대인의 왕을 가리키는 것임을 깨달았지만 유대인의 왕이 있을 것이라고 추측되는 유대 나라의 수도 예루살렘으로 가야 한다고 생각했습니다. 예루살렘으로 가야 한다는 그들의 결정은 별빛으로부터 온 것이 아니었습니다. 그들은 천연적인 관념에 의해 올바른 노선으로부터 벗어났기 때문에 예루살렘으로 갔습니다. 그곳은 수도였고 성전이 위치한 곳이었지만 예수께서 태어나신 장소가 아니었습니다. 박사들은 잘못 인도되었기 때문에 어린 예수가 죽임당할 뻔한 심각한 문제를 야기시켰습니다. 그들의 잘못은 많은 어린 아이들의 생명을 잃게 했습니다(16~18). 많은 때에 여러분은 이상을 가지고 있지만 여러분의 생각 안에서 문제를 고려할 때 여러분의 천연적인 관념에 의하여 미혹되고 잘못 인도됩니다. 여러분의 인간적인 관념은 여러분을 올바른 노선으로부터 벗어나게 합니다. 동방박사들은 잘못된 곳인 예루살렘에 간 후에 성경을 통하여 바로잡아졌습니다. 성경으로부터 그들은 올바른 장소가 예루살렘이 아닌 베들레헴이라는 것을 알았습니다. 만일 그들이 그들의 천연적인 관념에 의하여 잘못 인도되지 않았더라면 별은 틀림없이 그들을 예수가 계신 베들레헴으로 곧바로 인도했을 것입니다. 동방박사들이 성경에 의해 교정되었을 때 그들은 예루살렘을 떠났으며 바른 노선으로 회복되었고 별은 다시 나타났습니다(9절). 산 이상은 항상 성경과 함께 합니다. | The wise men saw the vision and, realizing that it indicated the King of the Jews, they assumed that they should go to Jerusalem, the capital of the Jewish nation, where the King of the Jews was presumed to be. Their decision to go to Jerusalem did not come from the light of the star. They went to Jerusalem because they were distracted from the right track by their natural concept....It was the capital and the city where the temple was located, but it was not the place where Jesus was born. Because the wise men were misled, they caused a serious problem and nearly caused the young child Jesus to be killed....Their error cost the lives of many young ones (vv. 16-18). Many times you have the vision, but when you consider the matter in your mind, you are distracted and misled by your natural concept. Your human concept distracts you from the right track. Whenever you are distracted like this, you need the Bible....After the magi had gone to Jerusalem, the wrong place, they were corrected through the Scriptures. From the Scriptures they learned that the right place was Bethlehem, not Jerusalem. If they had not been misled by their natural concept, the star certainly would have led them directly to the place where Jesus was in Bethlehem....When the magi had been corrected by the Scriptures, had departed from Jerusalem, and had been restored to the right track, the star appeared again (v. 9). Living vision always goes along with the Scriptures. | |
