주 예수께서 우리 안으로 들어오시어 우리의 영을 깨끗케 하신 후 즉 그분이 성전을 깨끗케 하신 후에 예루살렘을 떠나 베다니에 가신 것처럼 우리를 떠나신 것 같다는 느낌을 가질 수도 있습니다. 아마도 여러분은 이렇게 말할지도 모릅니다. "이것은 나의 체험이 아닙니다. 내 체험은 주 예수님께서 나의 영을 깨끗케 하신 후에 나와 함께 머무셨던 것입니다." 이것이 여러분의 체험이라면 여러분은 마리아나 마르다나 나사로나 시몬 같이 예수님을 사랑하는 사람들임에 틀림없습니다. 그러나 많은 그리스도인들이 그리스도를 그들 안으로 영접하고 그분이 그들의 영을 깨끗케 하심을 체험한 후에 그분을 사랑하지 않습니다. 그러므로 그들의 체험에서는 주께서 그들을 떠나 다른 곳 즉 베다니라는 곳에 유하시는 것입니다. 신약에서 우리는 베다니에 두 집이 있음을 봅니다. 마리아, 마르다, 나사로의 집과 문둥이 시몬의 집입니다. 이 모든 사람들은 주 예수님을 사랑하는 자들입니다. 이 땅에서 그분의 생애의 마지막 주간에 그분은 날마다 예루살렘에 들어가셨다가 저녁이 되면 예루살렘에서 나와 베다니에 유하셨습니다. 예루살렘은 그분이 검사받고 시험받고 죽임당한 곳이었지만, 베다니는 그분이 유하시는 곳이었습니다. 우리는 예루살렘에 있는 사람이 되지 말고 베다니의 사랑하는 자들이 되어야 합니다. 만일 주 예수께서 여러분 안에 들어오셔서 여러분의 영을 깨끗케 하셨으나 여전히 여러분이 그분을 사랑하지 않는다면 이는 여러분이 예루살렘에 있는 사람들 가운데 머물고 있다는 것을 의미합니다. 여러분은 베다니의 사랑하는 사람들 중 하나가 아닙니다. 그분은 예루살렘 성전을 깨끗케 하셨지만 거기에 유하지 않으셨습니다. 오히려 그분은 베다니에 유하기 위해 그 성을 빠져 나갔습니다. 이 얼마나 의미있는 일인지요! | |

After the Lord Jesus comes into us and cleanses our spirit, we may sense that He leaves us, just as He left Jerusalem for Bethany after cleansing the temple. Perhaps you will say, “This is not my experience. My experience is that after the Lord Jesus has cleansed my spirit, He stays with me.” If this is your experience, then you must be one of the lovers of Jesus like Mary, Martha, Lazarus, or Simon. However, after many Christians receive Christ into them and experience His cleansing of their spirit, they do not love Him. Thus, in their experience the Lord leaves them to lodge in another place, a place called Bethany. In the New Testament we read of two houses in Bethany: the house of Mary, Martha, and Lazarus and the house of Simon the leper. All these dear ones were lovers of the Lord Jesus. During the last week of His life on earth, He went every day into Jerusalem, but every night He went out of Jerusalem and lodged in Bethany. Jerusalem was the place where He was examined, tested, and slaughtered; but Bethany was His lodging place. We should not be the Jerusalem people, but the Bethany lovers. If the Lord Jesus comes into you and cleanses your spirit, yet you still do not love Him, it means that you remain among the Jerusalem people. You are not one of the Bethany lovers. Although He cleanses the temple in Jerusalem, He does not lodge there. Rather, He goes out of the city to lodge in Bethany. How meaningful this is! | |
