골로새서에 계시된 그리스도는 모든 것을 포함한 분이십니다. 그분은 하나님이실 뿐 아니라, 창조물 가운데 가장 먼저 나신 분이십니다. 모든 것은 그분 안에서 그분을 통하여 존재하게 되었습니다. 게다가 모든 것은 그분께 이르고 그분 안에서 존재합니다. 그러므로 하나님의 모든 어떠함은 그분을 통하여 표현되십니다. 우리는 골로새서 1장 19절의 '모든 충만'은 하나님의 어떠하심의 풍성을 언급하는 것이 아니고, 그러한 풍성의 표현을 언급한다는 것을 보았습니다. 하나님의 부요한 존재의 충만한 표현은 창조 안에서와 교회 안에서 그리스도 안에 거합니다. 하나님의 부요한 존재는 옛창조 안에서와 새창조 안에서 그리스도를 통하여 표현되고, 그리스도 안에서 그분을 통하여 그분에 이르도록 모든 것이 존재하게 되었고, 그리스도 안에서 모든 것이 유지됩니다. 이와 같은 방식으로 보이지 않는 하나님이 표현되십니다. 우리가 옛창조와 새창조인 우주와 교회를 고려할 때, 우리는 삼일 하나님의 모든 충만을 봅니다. 우리는 삼일 하나님의 표현을 봅니다. 이 충만은 아들 안에 거하는 것을 기뻐하고, 그분의 표현을 위해 만물을 그분에게로 화목하게 하는 것을 기뻐합니다.

  The Christ revealed in Colossians is all-inclusive. He is not only God, but also the firstborn of creation. All things came into being in Him and through Him. Furthermore, all things are unto Him and subsist in Him. Therefore, through Him is expressed all that God is. We have seen that all the fullness in verse 19 does not denote the riches of what God is, but the expression of those riches. The full expression of God in all His rich being, both in creation and in the church, dwells in Christ. The rich being of God is expressed both in the old creation and in the new creation through Christ as the One in whom, through whom, and unto whom all things came into being and as the One in whom all things subsist. It is in such a way that the invisible God is expressed. When we consider the universe and the church, the old creation and the new creation, we see all the fullness of the Triune God. We behold the expression of the Triune God. This fullness was pleased to dwell in the Son and to reconcile all things to Himself for His expression. Furthermore, this fullness will present us holy, blameless, and without reproach to Himself so that He may have His expression in the new creation.
