| 요3:5 예수님께서 대답하셨다. "내가 진실로 진실로 그대에게 말합니다. 누구든지 물과 그 영으로 나지 않으면, 하나님의 왕국에 들어갈 수 없습니다." 벧후1:4 하나님은 이 영광과 미덕을 통하여 보배롭고 지극히 큰 약속들을 우리에게 주셨습니다. 그것은 여러분이 이 약속들을 통하여 세상에서 정욕으로 부패되는 데서 벗어나, 신성한 본성에 동참하는 사람들이 되도록 하시려는 것이었습니다. | |

하나님의 왕국은 신성한 생명에 속한 왕국이라는 것을 지적한 바 있습니다. 사람의 왕국을 한 예로 들면, 인류가 사람의 생명에 속한 왕국인 것처럼, 하나님의 왕국 또한 신성한 생명에 속한 왕국입니다. 만일 우리가 인간이 아니라면, 우리는 사람의 생명에 속한 왕국을 이해할 수 없을 것입니다. 예들 들어, 개들은 사람의 왕국을 이해할 수 없습니다. 왜냐하면 개들은 사람의 생명이 없기 때문입니다. 그러나 만일 개가 사람의 생명을 받아들일 수 있다면, 개는 사람의 왕국을 이해할 수 있을 것입니다. 이와 비슷하게, 우리는 신성한 생명에 의해 하나님의 왕국을 압니다. 왜냐하면 하나님의 왕국은 신성한 생명에 속한 왕국이기 때문입니다. 신성한 생명을 영접한 사람들로서 우리는 하나님의 왕국이 어떠한지 알 뿐만 아니라, 우리는 이 왕국의 일부입니다. 만일 개가 사람의 생명으로 태어나, 그로 인하여 인간이 되었다면, 이 인간은 자동적으로 사람의 왕국의 한 부분이 될 것입니다. 당신은 신성한 생명을 가지고 있습니까? 그렇습니다. 당신은 신성한 생명을 가지고 있습니다. 당신은 이 생명을 가지고 있으므로, 하나님의 왕국의 일부입니다. 하나님의 왕국은 믿는 이들에게 그리스도께서 생명으로 확산되시는 것입니다. 이 확산은 하나님이 그분의 생명 안에서 다스리시는 한 영역을 형성합니다.

We have pointed out that the kingdom of God is a kingdom of the divine life. We may use the human kingdom as an illustration. Just as mankind is a kingdom of the human life, so the kingdom of God is a kingdom of the divine life. If we were not human beings, we could not understand the kingdom of human life. Dogs, for example, cannot understand the human kingdom, because they do not have a human life. But if a dog could receive the human life, it would then be able to understand the human kingdom. In a similar way, we know the kingdom of God by the divine life because God's kingdom is a kingdom of the divine life. As those who have received the divine life, we not only know what the kingdom of God is; we become parts of this kingdom. If a dog could be born of the human life and thereby become a human being, this human being would automatically become a part of the human kingdom. Do you not have the divine life? Yes, you have the divine life, and because you have this life you are part of the kingdom of God. The kingdom of God is the spreading of Christ as life to His believers. This spreading is the propagation of Christ as life to His believers to form a realm in which God rules in His life.
