사도행전을 연구할 때 우리는 사도행전의 저자가 누가복음의 저자와 동일하다는 것을 깨달아야 합니다. 사도행전의 첫 두 구절은 이 책이 누가복음의 연속이라는 것을 보여줍니다. 누가복음에서 우리는 사람-구주를 보고, 우리의 구속자, 구원자이신 분은 하나님-사람이라는 것을 봅니다. 누가는 사람-구주의 출생뿐만 아니라 그분의 잉태에 관해서도 상세하게 기록하고 있습니다. 누가는 주님의 잉태, 출생, 유년시절, 인생, 사역, 죽음, 부활, 승천을 묘사합니다. 우리는 사람-구주의 잉태는 하늘들로부터 내려오심이고, 또한 하나님 아버지로부터의 내려오심이라고 말할 수 있습니다. 마찬가지로 주님의 승천은 그분께서 하늘들로 가신 것이며, 하나님 아버지에게로 가신 것입니다. 주 예수님은 이렇게 오고 가심으로, 놀라운 존재가 되셨습니다. 주님은 잉태와 출생을 통해 신성하면서도 인간적인 인격이 되셨습니다. 즉 그분은 창조자이신 하나님이면서, 피조물인 사람이십니다. 주 예수님은 그러한 놀라운 인격으로, 신성한 속성을 표현하는 모든 인간미덕을 지니신  분으로서 이 땅에 사셨습니다. 이것이 바로 그분이 살고 사역하신 길이었습니다. 사람-구주는 죽음을 겪었고, 죽음 안으로 걸어가셨고, 죽음을 통과하였으며, 또한 죽음으로부터 걸어나오셨습니다. 주님은 죽음과 음부를 여행한 후, 부활 안에서 나오셨습니다. 그러므로 주님은 부활 안으로 들어가셨고, 부활 안에서 하늘들로 승천하셨습니다. 이제 이분, 영화롭게 된 사람-구주는 하늘들 안에 계십니다. 이것이 누가복음의 핵심적인 내용을 짧게 간추린 것입니다.

  As we come to the book of Acts, we need to realize that both this book and the Gospel of Luke were written by the same person. The first two verses of Acts indicate that this book is the continuation of Luke's Gospel. In this Gospel we have the Man-Savior, and we see that our Redeemer, the Savior, is the God-man. Luke gives us a clear record not only of the Man- Savior's birth but also of His conception. Luke describes the Lord's conception, birth, youth, life, ministry, death, resurrection, and ascension. We may say that the Man-Savior's conception was His coming down not only from the heavens but also from God the Father. Likewise, His ascension was His going back not only to the heavens but also to the Father. By this coming and going the Lord Jesus became a wonderful Being. Through His conception and birth He became a Person who is both divine and human, both God the Creator and man, a creature. As such a wonderful Person, the Lord Jesus lived on earth as a man with all the human virtues expressing the divine attributes. This was the way He lived and ministered. The Man- Savior suffered death, walking into, through, and out of death. After making a tour of death and Hades, He came forth in resurrection. Therefore, He entered into resurrection, and in resurrection He ascended to the heavens. Now this One, the glorified Man-Savior, is in the heavens. This is a brief extract of the crucial contents of the Gospel of Luke.
