| 합당한 본을 본받음으로 성장함(1) | |

만일 당신이 오늘날 믿는 이들 가운데의 상황을 고려해본다면, 많은 그리스도인들이 방향 감각이 없다는 것을 깨달을 것입니다. 그들이 방향성이 부족한 이유는 합당한 본이 없기 때문입니다. 우리는 다른 사람들에게 본이 되어, 어머니와 같이 그들을 양육하고, 소중히 품어야 하고, 하나님께 합당히 행하도록 아버지와 같이 권면해야 합니다. 바울은 데살로니가전서에서 그들 가운데서의 그가 살았던 생활에 대한 강한 간증을 제시합니다. 바울은 데살로니가인들에게 사도들이 와서 그들 가운데 어떤 생활을 살았는지를 상기시키고 있습니다. 왜 바울은 이것을 강조하겠습니까? 그것은 그가 어린 성도들에게 합당한 생활의 본을 제시하고 있기 때문입니다. 모든 장로들과 인도하는 이들이 바울의 예로부터 우리가 성도들에게 본이 되어야 한다는 것을 볼 수 있기를 바랍니다. 본받는 것은 자라는 것과 관계됩니다. 사실 많은 경우에 본받는 것은 성장하는 것입니다. 가족 안에서 자녀들은 그들의 부모나 형제, 자매들을 본받습니다. 어린 자들은 어떤 것도 만들어내지 않습니다. 대신 그들은 다른 이들을 본받습니다. 이것에 대한 아주 좋은 예는 언어를 사용하는 것에 있습니다. 자녀는 그의 부모가 말하는 언어를 배웁니다. 그는 같은 억양으로 그 언어를 말합니다. 자녀는 본받음에 의해 언어와 그 억양을 배웁니다. 이 그림은 자녀들은 그들의 부모를 본받음으로 성장한다는 사실에 대한 예입니다. 그러므로 사실 가족 안에서 본받는 것은 성장하는 것입니다. 부모들은 그들의 자녀들에게 본이요 모델입니다.

If you consider the situation among believers today, you will realize that many Christians have no sense of direction. The reason for this lack of direction is that they do not have a proper pattern. We need to be a pattern to others and foster them, cherishing them as mothers and exhorting them as fathers to walk worthily of God. In 1 Thessalonians 2, Paul gives a strong testimony of his living among the Thessalonians. He reminds them of the apostles coming and of their manner of life among them. Why did Paul emphasize this? He emphasized it because he was presenting a pattern of a proper living to the young saints. I hope that all the elders and leading ones will see from Paul's example that we must be a pattern to the saints. Imitating is related to growing. In fact, in many ways to imitate is to grow. In a family children imitate their parents and older brothers and sisters. The little ones do not invent anything; instead, they imitate others. A very good illustration of this is in the use of language. A child learns the language spoken by his parents. He speaks the same language with the same accent. A child learns the language and the accent by imitation. This illustrates the fact that children grow by imitating their parents. Therefore, in a family to imitate actually means to grow. Parents are patterns, models, for their children. | |
