사도들은 복음을 전파했을 뿐만 아니라 복음을 살았습니다. 사도들의 복음 사역은 다만 말에 의한 것만이 아닌 하나님의 능력, 성령 안의 생명, 믿음의 확신을 나타내는 생활에 의한 것이었습니다. 사도들은 그들이 전파한 기쁜 소식의 본이었습니다. 데살로니가전서 1장 5절의 능력, 성령, 큰 확신은 "우리가 여러분을 위하여 여러분 가운데서 어떠한 사람들이었는지"라는 말과 연결됩니다. 이 구절이 보여주는 바는 만일 우리가 복음을 능력과 성령과 큰 확신으로 전파하고자 한다면 우리는 이러한 종류의 복음 전파와 부합하는 생활을 살아야 한다는 것입니다. 부주의한 사람 즉 그리스도를 살지 않는 사람은 복음을 능력과 성령과 큰 확신으로 전파할 수 없습니다. 이러한 방식으로 복음을 전파하기 위해서 우리는 먼저 그리스도를 살아야 하고 능력과 성령과 확신과 조화되는 생활을 살아야 합니다. 다른 말로 하면 능력, 성령, 확신은 어떤 종류의 생활을 필요로 합니다. 만일 우리가 합당한 생활을 살지 않는다면 우리는 복음 전파에 있어서 능력과 성령과 확신을 갖지 못할 것입니다. 왜냐하면 우리의 생활방식이 여기에 나타난 특징과 어울리지 않기 때문입니다. | |

The apostles not only preached the gospel; they lived it. Their ministering of the gospel was not only by word, but also by a life which displays the power of God, a life in the Holy Spirit and in the assurance of their faith. They were the model of the glad tidings they spread. In verse 5 power, the Holy Spirit, and much assurance are linked to the words “what kind of men we were among you for your sake.” This verse reveals that if we would preach the gospel in power, in the Holy Spirit, and in much assurance, we must have a life to match this kind of gospel preaching. Our manner of life must match the power, the Holy Spirit, and the assurance. A careless person, one who does not live Christ, cannot preach the gospel in power, in the Holy Spirit, and in much assurance. To preach the gospel in this way, we must first live Christ and have a manner of life to match the power, the Holy Spirit, and the assurance. In other words, the power, the Holy Spirit, and the assurance require a certain manner of life. If we do not have the proper living, we shall not have the power, the Holy Spirit, and the assurance in our gospel preaching, for our manner of life will not match these characteristics. | |
