15 우리에게 하나님의 형상이 있는데, 왜 우리는 그분을 표현할 수 없습니까? 하나님의 형상으로 창조된 사람은 어떤 사람의 사진처럼 닮은 것이라고 말할지도 모릅니다. 여러분이 존 형제의 사진을 찍어 다른 이들에게 이 사람이 존 형제라고 말한다고 가정해 봅시다. 그러나 사진은 진짜 존 형제가 아닙니다. 사진 속의 존 형제일 뿐입니다. 사진은 외형, 스타일, 존 형제의 풍채를 보여주지만, 존 형제의 생명은 가지고 있지 않습니다. 존 형제의 어떠함을 보여줄 수는 있지만, 존 형제를 표현할 수는 없습니다. 사진이 존 형제를 표현하는 유일한 길은 그 형제의 생명을 갖는 것입니다.15

15 사람은 하나님의 형상으로 창조되었지만, 하나님의 생명은 없이 하나님의 어떠함을 보여주는 사진과 같았습니다. 사람이 하나님의 형상으로 창조되었지만, 하나님의 생명은 없었습니다. 하나님은 사람이 생명의 나무로 나타난 생명에 참여하기를 의도하셨습니다. 사람은 실패했습니다. 오늘날 그리스도를 믿음으로써, 우리는 그 생명을 나눌 수 있도록 다시 이끌려 졌습니다. 우리는 모두 영원한 생명을 받았습니다. 그러므로 우리가 그분의 형상 안에서 하나님을 표현하고 그분의 권위를 가지고 그분을 대표하기 위해서는 그분의 생명을 나누는 것 말고는 길이 없습니다. 이것이 성경의 많은 구절들을 통하여 확증된 것입니다. 15

15 Gen 1:27 And God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
15 John 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the authority to become children of God, to those who believe into His name. 15

15 Since we already have God's image, why can't we express Him? We may say that the man created in the image of God resembles the photograph of a person. Suppose you take a photograph of Brother John and show it to others saying that this is Brother John. In a sense, you are correct, for that is Brother John. However, the photograph is not the real Brother John; it is Brother John in a picture. Although the picture reveals the features, style, and the person of Brother John, it does not have the life of Brother John. It can show something of Brother John, but it cannot express him. The only way for the photograph to express Brother John is for it to have his life. 15

15 Man was created in the image of God, but he was like a photograph showing something of God without having the life of God. Although man was in the image of God, he did not have the life of God. God intended that man should partake of the life indicated by the tree of life. Man failed to do it. Today, by believing in Christ, we have been brought back to share in that life. We all have received eternal life. Thus, there is no other way for us to express God in His image and to represent God with His authority except by sharing His life. This is confirmed by many verses in the Bible. 15 15
