15 사람은 하나님의 형상을 따라 창조되었고 하나님의 형상은 곧 그리스도이므로, 사람은 그리스도의 형상을 따라서 창조되었습니다. 로마서 5장 14절은 첫 사람 아담이 그리스도의 표상, 즉 예표였다고 말합니다. 우리가 어떤 사람의 사진을 찍을 때, 사진은 그 사람의 표상이며 예표입니다. 사진이 어떤 형상의 표현인 것과 같이, 사람은 하나님의 형상인 그리스도를 나타내기 위해 만들어졌습니다.15

15 장갑을 예로 들어봅시다. 장갑은 손의 형상과 손의 형태를 따라서 만들어집니다. 손과 장갑은 다 손가락이 다섯입니다. 장갑은 손의 형상에 따라 만들어졌으며, 어느 날 손이 장갑 속으로 들어갈 것입니다. 손은 장갑을 채우고 장갑은 손을 표현합니다.왜 사람이 그리스도의 형상으로 만들어졌습니까? 하나님의 의도는 언젠가 그리스도가 사람 안으로 들어가 사람을 통하여 표현하려는 것이기 때문입니다.15

15 로마서 9장 21절과 23절은 사람이 용기인 그릇으로 창조되었다고 분명히 말합니다. 사람은 칼이나 망치나 어떤 도구가 아닙니다. 사람은 그릇이며, 용기입니다. 더 나아가 사람은 하나님, 하나님의 영광을 담기 위한 귀한 그릇으로 만들어 졌다고 말합니다. 이 그릇은 그릇과 같은 것입니다. 어느 날 손이 안으로 들어오듯이 내용이 용기 안으로 들어옵니다. 우리는 단지 그리스도를 담기 위한 그릇입니다. 15

15 Gen 1:26 And God said, Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness...
15 Rom 9:21 Or does not the potter have authority over the clay to make out of the same lump one vessel unto honor...? (23) In order that He might make known the riches of His glory upon vessels of mercy, which He had before prepared unto glory, (24) Even us... 15

15 Since man was created in the image of God and the image of God is Christ, man was created in the image of Christ. Romans 5:14 says that Adam, the first man, was a type, a figure, of Christ. If we take a photograph of a person, that picture is the figure, or type, of the person. As a photograph is the expression of a certain image, so man was made to be the expression of the image of God, which is Christ.15

15 I may use the illustration of a glove. The glove was made in the image and according to the form of the hand. Both the hand and the glove have five fingers. The glove was made in the image of the hand that one day the hand might enter into the glove. The hand fills up the glove, and the glove expresses the hand. Why was man made in the image of Christ? Because God's intention was that someday Christ would enter into man and be expressed through man.15

15 Romans 9:21 and 23 tell us clearly that man was made as a vessel, that is, as a container. Man is not a knife, a hammer, or any instrument. Man is a vessel, a container. It further says that man was made a vessel unto honor to contain God, to contain God's glory. This vessel is like the glove: one day the hand gets into it; the contents get into the container. We are simply a vessel to contain Christ. 15 15
