15 그리스도인의 생활에서 많은 때 우리에게는 격려와 확인이 필요합니다. 고난의 시기를 지나면서, 우리는 질문과 의심을 갖게 될지 모릅니다. 아마도 여러분은 "왜 그리스도인의 생활에서 많은 문제들이 있지? 왜 많은 시련과 시험이 있지?"라고 말할 것입니다. 이런 의심이 생기더라도 우리는 우리 안에 하나님의 사랑이 있다는 것을 부인할 수 없습니다. 우리가 주 예수의 이름을 처음 부른 그날부터 하나님의 사랑이 성령을 통하여 우리의 마음에 부어졌습니다. 이것은 그 영이 하나님의 사랑을 우리에게 나타내고 확인시키고 확신한다는 의미입니다. 내주하는 성령은 이렇게 말하는 것 같습니다. "의심하지 마라. 하나님은 너를 사랑하신다. 왜 지금 고난을 받아야 하는지 이해하지 못할 것이지만, 언젠가 '아버지 내가 통과한 문제들과 시련들로 인하여 당신께 감사를 드립니다.'라고 말하게 될 것이다."15

15 우리가 원수였지만, 그리스도는 우리를 하나님과 화해시키기 위해 십자가에서 피를 흘리셨습니다. 어떠한 사랑인지요! 하나님이 우리에게 그분의 아들을 주셨다면, 그분은 우리를 다치게 할 어떤 것도 결코 하지 않으실 것입니다. 하나님은 주권자이십니다. 그분은 우리를 위해 어떤 것이 최선인지를 아십니다. 우리와 관련된 모든 것이 우리 아버지에 의해 준비된 것입니다. 우리는 단순하게 기도해야 합니다. "주여, 당신의 길을 얻으소서. 당신이 원하는 것을 저도 원합니다. 모든 것을 전적으로 당신의 손에 맡겨 드립니다." 이것이 하나님이 우리를 그렇게 사랑하시고, 그 사랑이 성령을 통해 우리 마음에 부어졌다는 것을 새로이 알았을 때 하나님에 대한 우리의 반응입니다. 15

15 Being Assured of God's Love15

15 Rom 5:3 And not only so, but we also boast in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces endurance; (5) And hope does not put us to shame, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. 15

15 Many times in our Christian life we need encouragement and confirmation. As we pass through periods of suffering, we may have questions and doubts. Perhaps you say, "Why are there so many troubles in my Christian life? Why are there so many trials and tests?" Although these doubts arise, we cannot 15 deny that the love of God is within us. From the day we first called on the Lord Jesus, the love of God has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit. This means that the Spirit reveals, confirms, and assures us with the love of God. The indwelling Holy Spirit seems to say, "Don't doubt. 15 God loves you. You don't understand why you must suffer now, but one day you will say, Father, I thank You for the troubles and trials which I passed through."15

15 Once we were enemies, but Christ shed His blood on the cross to reconcile us to God. What love is this! If God has given us His own Son, surely He will not do anything to hurt us. God is sovereign. He knows what is best for us. Everything related to us has been prepared by our Father. We should simply pray, "Lord, have your way. I simply want what you want. I leave everything entirely in Your hands." This is our response to God when we realize afresh that He loves us so and that His love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit. 15
