15 -에베소서 3장 17절- 믿음으로 말미암아 그리스도께서 너희 마음에 계시게 하옵시고 너희 가 사랑 가운데서 뿌리가 박히고 터가 굳어져서
15 -에베소서 4장 16절- 그에게서 온몸이 각 마디를 통하여 도움을 입음으로 연락하고 상합 하여 각 지체의 분량대로 역사하여 그 몸을 자라게 하여 사랑 안에서 스스로 세우느니라 15

15 그분 안에 뿌리를 내리는 것은 생명 안의 성장을 위한 것입니다. 골로새서 2장 7절에서 바 울은 믿는 이들을 흙인 그리스도 안에 뿌리를 내린 식물들로 보고 있습니다. 그러나 많은 그리스도인들이 그리스도 안에 적절하게 뿌리를 내리지 않았습니다. 우리가 그리스도 안에 합당하게 뿌리를 내린다면 교회 입장에 대해 많은 이야기를 할 필요가 없을 것입니다. 교회 입장은 하나입니다. 그러나 이러한 하나의 기초는 바울이 에베소서 4장에서 언급한 대로 한 영, 한 주, 한 하나님 아버지이십니다. 우리가 진실로 그리스도 안에 뿌리 내린다면, 우리의 체험에서 그분은 우리의 하나의 기초가 되실 것입니다. 15

15 그리스도 안에 뿌리를 내림으로써 우리는 지금 "그분 안에서 세움을 입고(골로새서 2장 7 절)" 있습니다. 세움을 입는 것은 몸의 건축을 위한 것입니다. 우리는 뿌리를 내렸지만 여전 히 세워지는 과정에 있습니다. 이것은 개인적인 문제일 뿐 아니라 단체적인 문제입니다. 건 축은 단지 한 개의 품목으로 이루어지는 것이 아니라 함께 짝 맞추어지는 많은 품목으로 이 루어집니다. 우리는 그리스도 안에 뿌리를 내리고 교회 안에서 세움을 입어야 합니다. 15

15 단체적으로 세워지려면 골로새인들은 유대교의 관습들과 이교도의 규례들과 철학들을 버려 야 했습니다. 그렇지 않으면 그들은 그리스도로부터 이식되어 다른 것에 뿌리를 내렸을 것 입니다. 더 나아가 그들은 교회 생활로부터 미혹되었을 것입니다. 우리가 그리스도 대신 어 떤 종류의 철학이나 규례나 관습이나 실행을 취할 때마다 교회 생활은 사라질 것입니다. 우 리는 이러한 문제에 관해 다른 의견을 가지고 있는 믿는 이들과 분별되어 있습니다. 그러한 일에 사로잡힌 이들은 결국 교회생활을 관심하지 않게 될 것입니다. 15

15 Being Rooted Adequately in Christ15

15 Colossians 2:7 Having been rooted and being built up in Him [Christ]...
15 Ephesians 3:17 That Christ may make His home in your hearts through faith, that you, being rooted and grounded in love.
15 4:16 Out from whom [Christ] all the Body...causes the growth of the Body unto the building up of itself in love.15

15 To be rooted in Him is for the growth in life. In this verse [Col 2:7] Paul views the believers as plants who have been rooted in Christ as the soil. However, many Christians have not been rooted in Christ adequately. If we have been rooted in Christ properly, there will be no need to talk much about the ground of the church. The ground of the church is oneness. But the base of this oneness is the one Spirit, the one Lord, and the one God and Father, as mentioned by Paul in Ephesians 4. If we have been truly rooted in Christ, in our experience He will be the base of our oneness. 15

15 Having been rooted in Christ, we now are “being built up in Him” (2:7). To be built up is for the building of the Body. Although we have been rooted, we are still in the process of being built up. This is a corporate matter as well as a personal matter. A building is not composed merely of one item, but of many items that have been fitted together. We need to be rooted in Christ and also built up in the church. 15

15 In order to be built up corporately, the Colossians had to forsake the Judaistic observances and the heathen ordinances and philosophies. Otherwise, they would have been transplanted from Christ and rooted in something else. Furthermore, they would have been led astray from the church life. Whenever we take in some kind of philosophy, ordinance, observance, or practice in place of Christ, the church life is annulled. We are divided from those believers who have different opinions concerning these matters. Those who are preoccupied with such things will eventually cease to care about the church life.15
