15 -고린도 후서 5장 7절- 이는 우리가 믿음으로 행하고 보는 것으로 하지 아니함이로라 15

15 베드로가 물 위로 걸을 수 있었던 것은 기적이었습니다. 그는 믿음으로 파도 위를 걸었습니 다. 믿음은 주님의 말씀에 근거한 우리의 행동입니다. 믿음이 있다는 것은 우리가 일을 할 수 있다는 것을 뜻하지 않으며 어떤 방향으로 가기 위해 우리의 마음을 결정하는 것도 뜻하 지 않습니다. 믿음은 단순히 우리가 매우 약하지만 주님의 말씀에 근거하여 감히 행하는 것 을 뜻합니다. 주님은 베드로에게 "오라"고 하셨고 베드로는 그 말씀을 받았으며 그것에 근 거하여 행동했고 파도 위로 걸어갔습니다. 15

15 베드로는 배에서 내려 주님의 말씀 안에 있는 믿음으로 파도 위를 걸었습니다. 그러나 그가 강한 바람을 보았을 때 그의 믿음은 사라졌습니다. 그는 환경을 보지 않고 오직 주님의 말 씀을 믿음으로 걸어가야 했습니다. 주님이 베드로에게 "오라"고 말씀하셨기 때문에 베드로 는 그 말씀 위에 서서 의심하지 말아야 했습니다. 그러므로 주님은 그를 책망하셨습니다. 믿 음은 주님의 말씀에서 오고 주님의 말씀에 입각하는 것입니다. 우리에게 주님의 말씀이 있 는 한 우리는 단순히 그분의 말씀을 믿고 의심하지 말아야 합니다. 15

15 Believing and Acting Upon the Lord's Word15

15 Matthew 14:28 And Peter answered Him and said, Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water. (29) And He said, Come. And Peter, coming down from the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. (30) But seeing the strong wind, he became frightened; and as he began to sink, he cried out, saying, Lord, save me!
15 2 Corinthians 5:7 (For we walk by faith, not by appearance)15

15 It was a miracle that Peter could walk on the waters. He walked on the waves by faith. Faith is our action upon the word of the Lord. To have faith does not mean that we are able to do things; neither does it mean that we make up our mind to go in a certain direction. Faith simply means that, although we may be very weak, we dare to act upon the Lord's word. The Lord said to Peter, “Come,” and Peter took that word, acted upon it, and walked on the waves. 15

15 Peter came down from the boat and walked on the waves by faith in the Lord's word; however, when he saw the strong wind, his faith vanished. He should have walked only by faith in the Lord's word, not by the sight of the circumstances. Since the Lord said to Peter, “Come”, Peter should have stood on that word and not doubted. Hence, the Lord rebuked him. Faith comes from the Lord's word and stands on the Lord's word. As long as we have the Lord's word, we should simply believe in His word and not doubt.15
