15 -로마서 12장 18절- 할 수 있거든 너희로서는 모든 사람으로 더불어 화평하라 15

15 자신에 대하여 엄격하고, 다른 이들에게 긍휼을 베풀고, 하나님을 향하여 순수한 사람들이 15 화평케 하는 자들입니다. 그들은 어떠한 사람도 마음 상하게 하거나 해치거나 손상시키기를 15 좋아하지 않습니다. 오히려 그들은 어떤 사람과도 화평케 되기를 좋아합니다. 화평케 하는 15 자가 되는 것은 정치적이 되는 것을 의미하지 않습니다. 정치적인 것은 거짓된 것이요 위선 15 적인 것입니다. 우리는 정직한 사각형이어야지 정치적으로 둥그스름해서는 안 됩니다. 새 예 15 루살렘은 둥글지 않고 정사각형이라는 것을 기억하십시오. 우리 그리스도인들은 이와 같아 15 야 합니다. 우리는 정사각형이어야 하지만 여전히 다른 이들을 긍휼히 여겨야 합니다. 이것 15 이 우리로 하여금 하나님을 향하여 순수하게 하고 그분을 보게 합니다. 만일 우리가 그러한 15 사람이라면 우리는 자연히 화평케 하는 자들이 될 것입니다. 다른 이들과 싸우고 그들을 헐 15 뜯는 대신에 우리는 항상 우리와 관계된 사람들과 평강을 유지해야 합니다. 이것이 화평케 15 하는 자가 된다는 것의 의미입니다. 15

15 Having the Nature of a Peacekeeper15

15 Matthew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the sons of God.
15 Romans 12:18 If possible, as far as it depends on you, live in peace with all men. 15

15 Those who are strict with themselves, merciful to others, and pure toward God are 15 peacemakers. They do not like to offend, hurt, or damage anyone. Rather, they like to 15 make peace with everyone. To be a peacemaker does not mean to be political. To be 15 political is falsehood and hypocrisy. We must be righteously square, not politically 15 round. Remember, the New Jerusalem is square, not round. We Christians must be like 15 this. Although we are righteously square, we are still merciful toward others. This 15 enables us to be pure toward God and to see Him. If we are such a person, 15 spontaneously we shall be peacemakers. Instead of fighting with others and hurting 15 them, we shall always maintain peace with those with whom we are involved. This is 15 what it means to be a peacemaker. 15

15 Those who are peacemakers will be called sons of God. This means that those around 15 us will say, “These people are not only the sons of men, but the sons of God. All the 15 sons of men fight against one another, but the sons of God, like their heavenly Father, 15 are peaceful and always make peace with others.” However, this keeping of peace 15 should not be merely an outward behavior. That is politics. Our peace must issue out of 15 our nature. We have a nature that makes us strict with ourselves, merciful with others, 15 and pure with God. Because we have this nature, we spontaneously keep the peace with 15 others. This is not political peacemaking; it is the spontaneous issue of our nature. This 15 will cause others to say, “These are truly the sons of God.” 15
