15 -요한복음 8장 3-11절- 서기관들과 바리새인들이 간음 중에 잡힌 여자를 끌고 와서 가운15 데 세우고 예수께 말하되 선생이여 이 여자가 간음하다가 현장에서 잡혔나이다 모세는 율법15 에 이러한 여자를 돌로 치라 명하였거니와 선생은 어떻게 말하겠나이까 저희가 이렇게 말함15 은 고소할 조건을 얻고자하여 예수를 시험함이러라 예수께서 몸을 굽히사 손가락으로 땅에 15 쓰시니 저희가 묻기를 마지 아니하는지라 이에 일어나 가라사대 너희 중에 죄 없는 자가 먼15 저 돌로 치라 하시고 다시 몸을 굽히사 손가락으로 땅에 쓰시니 저희가 이 말씀을 듣고 양15 심의 가책을 받아 어른으로 시작하여 젊은이까지 하나씩 하나씩 나가고 오직 예수와 그 가15 운데 섰는 여자만 남았더라 예수께서 일어나사 여자 외에 아무도 없는 것을 보시고 이르시15 되 여자여 너를 고소하던 그들이 어디 있느냐 너를 정죄한 자가 없느냐 대답하되 주여 없나15 이다 예수께서 가라사대 나도 너를 정죄하지 아니하노니 가서 다시는 죄를 범치 말라 하시15 니라) 15

15 율법에 따르면, 그런 죄 있는 여자는 돌에 맞아 죽어야 하지만 종교인들은 그렇게 하지 않15 았습니다. 그들은 그 여자를 주님께 데려와서 주님을 함정에 빠뜨리려고 했습니다. 만일 그15 분이 그 여자를 돌로 쳐서 죽어야 한다고 말씀하셨다면, 그분은 구원자와 구속자로서의 위15 치를 잃었을 것입니다. 구원자가 그런 죄인은 돌에 맞아 죽어야 한다고 말할 수 있습니까? 15 물론 구속자이시며 구원자이신 주님을 그렇게 말씀하실 수 없었습니다. 그러나 다른 면에서 15 만일 그분이 그 여자를 돌로 쳐서 죽이면 안 된다고 말씀하셨다면 그들은 주님이 율법을 범15 했다고 말했을 것입니다.15

15 주님은 마치 "너희들은 그 여자를 돌로 쳐서 죽일 수 있지만 누군가가 앞장서야 한다. 죄가 15 없는 사람 외에는 아무도 앞장 설 자격이 없다. 너희 중에 죄 없는 자로 하여금 먼저 그 여15 자에게 돌을 던지게 하라"고 말씀하시는 것 같습니다. 이 말씀은 그들의 양심을 찔렀습니다.15

15 죄 없는 사람이 누구입니까? 아무도 없습니다. 여러분이 다른 사람들을 정죄하는 동안 여러15 분은 그들과 똑같기 때문에, 다른 사람들을 정죄하시 마십시오. 오직 위대한 자존자만이 죄15 가 없으시며 오직 그분만이 정죄할 자격이 있습니다. 주 예수께서 소유하신 것은 어떠한 지15 혜입니까? 종교인들이 떠난 후 주님께서 얼마나 사랑스럽고 부드럽게 죄 지은 여자에게 자15 신을 나타내셨는지를 보십시오. 그분은 그 여자에게 너를 정죄하는 자가 없느냐고 물으셨으15 며, 그녀는 "주여, 없나이다."라고 했고, 예수께서는 "나도 저를 정죄하지 아니하노니"(8장 15 11절)라고 말씀하셨습니다. 그것은 두려워하는 여자의 혼에 음악이었습니다.15

15 A Woman Caught Committing Adultery15

15 John 8:3 And the scribes and Pharisees brought a woman caught in adultery, and 15 having set her in the midst, (4) They said to Him, Teacher, this woman has been 15 caught committing adultery, in the very act. (5) Now in the law, Moses commanded us 15 to stone such women. What then do you say? (6) But they said this to tempt Him, so 15 that they might have reason to accuse Him. But Jesus stooped down and wrote with 15 His finger on the ground. (7) But when they persisted in questioning Him, He stood up 15 and said to them, He who is without sin among you, let him be the first to throw a 15 stone at her. (8) And again He stooped down and wrote on the ground. (9) And when 15 they heard that, they went out one by one, beginning with the older ones. And Jesus 15 was left alone, and the woman stood where she was, in the midst. (10) And Jesus 15 stood up and said to her, Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you? (11) 15 And she said, No one, Lord. And Jesus said, Neither do I condemn you; go, and from 15 now on sin no more. 15

15 According to the law, such a sinful woman had to be stoned to death, but the 15 religionists did not do it. They brought her to the Lord in an attempt to trap Him... If 15 He had said that they had to stone her to death, then He would have lost His position 15 as the Savior and Redeemer. Could a Savior say that such a sinner must be stoned to 15 death? Of course, the Lord, as the Redeemer and Savior, could not say this. But, on the 15 other hand, if He said that they should not stone her to death, then they would have 15 said that He was breaking the law. 15

15 The Lord seemed to be saying, “You may stone her to death, but someone must take 15 the lead. No one is qualified to take the lead in this except the one who is without sin. 15 Let the one who is without sin among you be the first to cast a stone at her.” This 15 word pierced their conscience. 15

15 Who is without sin? No one. Do not condemn others, for while you condemn others you 15 are the same as they are, you are not qualified to condemn others... Only the great I 15 Am is without sin, and only He is qualified to condemn sin. What wisdom the Lord 15 Jesus has! After the religionists left, notice how lovingly and gently the Lord expressed 15 Himself to the sinful woman. He asked her if anyone condemned her, and she said, 15 “No one, Lord.” Then Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn you” (8:11). That was 15 music to the woman's terrified soul. 15
