15 무기력한 사람에 대한 사례는 종교의 불충분함을 드러냅니다(5장 1-9절). 하나님은 결코 종15 교를 가질 의도가 아니셨습니다. 그분의 의도는 그분의 거룩한 말씀을 그분의 백성들에게 15 주사 오실 자이신 하나님의 아들이 하나님의 목적의 성취를 위해 그들의 구원과 생명이 되15 실 것임을 그들에게 계시하려는 것이었습니다. 이 오실 분은 그들에게 모든 것-의, 거룩, 구15 속, 영광이 되실 것이었습니다.15

15 종교가 무엇입니까? 종교는 그리스도 없이 하나님을 경배하고 예의 바르게 처신하는 것입니15 다. 종교는 여러분 자신이 하나님을 경배하려고 , 하나님을 기쁘게 하기 위해 잘 처신하려15 고, 온전한 사람이 되려고 최선을 다해 노력하는 것이며 모든 것을 그리스도 없이 하는 것15 입니다. 기독교 안에서 사람들이 그리스도를 갖고 있기는 하지만 대부분 단지 말뿐인 그리15 스도인 것 같이 보입니다. 만일 여러분에게 그리스도라는 용어만 있다면 그것 역시 종교입15 니다. 반드시 우리는 그리스도를 실제로서 가져야 합니다. 오직 그리스도를 우리의 실제로 15 가질 때라야만 우리는 종교 밖에 있습니다.15

15 John 5:1 After these things there was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went up to 15 Jerusalem. (2) Now there is in Jerusalem near the sheepgate a pool, which is called in 15 Hebrew Bethesda, having five porticoes. (3) In these lay a multitude of those who were 15 sick, blind, lame, and withered, waiting for the moving of the water. 15

15 The case of the impotent man exposes the inadequacy of religion (5:1-9). God never 15 intended to have a religion... His intention was to give His Holy Word to His people, 15 revealing to them that the coming One, the Son of God, would be their salvation and 15 life for the fulfillment of God's purpose. This coming One would be everything to 15 them-righteousness, holiness, redemption and glory. 15

15 What is a religion?... Religion is to worship God and to behave ourselves without Christ. 15 Religion is just you trying your best to worship God, to behave properly to please God, 15 and to be a perfect person-all without Christ. It seems that people have Christ in 15 Christianity, but mostly that is simply Christ in term. If you only have Christ in term, 15 that also is religion. We must have Christ as reality. Only with Christ as our reality are 15 we outside of religion. 15
