15 -요한복음 4장 13-14절- 예수께서 대답하여 가라사대 이 물을 먹는 자마다 다시 목마르려15 니와 내가 주는 물을 먹는 자는 영원히 목마르지 아니하리니 나의 주는 물은 그 속에서 영15 생하도록 솟아나는 샘물이 되리라 15

15 여기 13절에서 "물"은 물질적인 것들을 누림과 세상 환락을 즐기는 것을 상징합니다. 그런 15 것들 중 어느 것도 사람 속 깊은 곳에 있는 갈증을 해소시킬 수 없습니다. 사람이 이런 물15 질적이며 세상적인 "물"을 마신다하더라도, 그는 다시 목마를 것입니다. 사람이 이런 "물들"15 을 많이 마실수록 더욱 더 그 목마름은 더해집니다. 비록 사마리아 여인이 다섯 남편을 가15 졌었고, 이제도 자기 남편이 아닌 남자와 같이 살고 있지만, 그녀는 여전히 만족하지 못했습15 니다. 아무 것도 그녀의 목마름을 해소시킬 수 없었습니다. 이런 종류의 "물"은 결코 사람들15 을 만족시킬 수 없습니다.15

15 사람을 영원토록 만족시키는 단 한 가지 "물"이 있는데, 다름 아닌 예수 그리스도이십니다. 15 그리스도는 오늘도, 내일도, 영원토록 만족시켜 주십니다. 그분은 늘 새로우시며, 늘 신선하15 십니다. 그분은 늘 만족시켜 주십니다. 그러므로 주님은 그분이 주는 물을 먹는 자마다 다시 15 목마르지 않을 것이라고 사마리아 여인에게 말씀하실 수 있었는데, 이는 그 물이 그 사람 15 속에서 영원한 생명에 이르도록 솟아나는 샘물이 되기 때문입니다.15

15 John 4:13 Jesus answered and said to her, Everyone who drinks of this water shall 15 thirst again, (14) But whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall by no 15 means thirst forever; but the water that I will give him will become in him a spring of 15 water gushing up into eternal life. 15

15 The “water” here [in verse 13] signifies the enjoyment of material things and the 15 amusement of worldly entertainment. None of these can quench the thirst deep within 15 man. However much he drinks of this material and worldly “water,” he shall thirst 15 again. The more he drinks of these “waters,” the more his thirst is increased. 15 Although the Samaritan woman has had five husbands and was living with a man who 15 was not her husband, she still was not satisfied. Nothing could quench her thirst. This 15 kind of “water” will never satisfy people. 15

15 There is only one “water” that satisfies people for eternity-Jesus Christ. Christ 15 satisfies today, tomorrow, and for eternity. He is ever new, ever fresh. He always 15 satisfies. So, the Lord could tell the Samaritan woman that whoever drinks of the water 15 that He gives will not thirst, for that water will become in her a spring welling up into 15 eternal life.15
