15 2장 4절의 "방언들"은 지방의 방언들(6절, 8절)이었습니다. 제자들은 갈릴리 사람들이었지만15 (7절), 여러 다른 지방에서 와서 참선한 사람들의 서로 다른 외국 방언으로 말했습니다. 이15 것은 방언으로 말하는 것이 단지 혀로 내는 소리나 음성이 아니라 이해 가능한 어떤 언어임15 이 틀림없다는 유력한 증거입니다.15

15 오늘날 소위 방언이라고 하는 것은 지방어가 아니라 아무 뜻도 없는 소리들입니다. 그러나 15 오순절에 행해진 방언들은 성령에 의해 야기된 하나의 기적이었습니다. 비록 나 자신도 소15 위 방언을 실행해 보았고 또 다른 사람들도 그렇게 하도록 인도했었지만, 나는 이런 실행을 15 그만두었습니다. 나는 소위 방언의 대부분이 기적으로 지방어를 말해 내는 것이 아니라 인15 간에 의해 조작된 것임을 깨닫게 되었습니다. 우리가 여기서 강조하고 있는 요점은 오순절 15 날에 있던 방언들이 단지 혀에 의해 발성된 소리에 불과한 것이 아니라 진짜 지방어들이었15 다는 것입니다. 15

15 기 도 : 주 예수여! 당신을 담대하게 증거할 수 있도록 나를 성령으로 채우소서. 방언을 말15 하는 것과 같은 기적적인 은사는 없지만, 당신 안에서 나의 말이 분명하고 의미심장한 것이 15 되게 하소서. 아멘.15

15 Tongues?-- An Understandable Language15

15 -Acts 2:4- And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak 15 in different tongues, even as the Spirit gave to them to speak forth. (6) 15 And when this sound occurred, the multitude came together and was 15 confounded because each one heard them speaking in his own dialect. (7) 15 And they were amazed and marveled, saying, Behold, are not all these who 15 are speaking Galileans? (8) And how is it that we each hear them in our 15 own dialect in which we were born? (9) Parthians and Medes and 15 Elamites and those dwelling in Mesopotamia, both in Judea and 15 Cappadocia, in Pontus and Asia, (10) Both in Phrygia and Pamphylia, in 15 Egypt and the parts of Libya around Cyrene, and the sojourning of Rome, 15 both Jews and proselytes, (11) Cretans and Arabians, we hear them 15 speaking in our tongues the magnificent works of God?15

15 The "tongues" spoken in 2:4 were dialects (vv. 6,8). The disciples were Galileans (v. 7), 15 yet they spoke the different foreign dialects of the attendants who came from various 15 parts of the world. This is strong proof that tongue-speaking must be an 15 understandable language, not merely a voice or sound uttered by the tongue.15

15 ...much of today's so-called tongues are not dialects but meaningless sounds. However, 15 the tongues spoken on the day of Pentecost were a miracle caused by the Holy Spirit. 15 Although I myself had practiced so-called tongue-speaking and had led others to do so, 15 I dropped this practice... I came to realize that much of what is called tongue-speaking 15 is not the miraculous speaking of a dialect, but something humanly manufactured. The 15 point we are emphasizing here is that the tongues spoken on the day of Pentecost were 15 genuine dialects and not merely sounds uttered by the tongue.15
