15 -데살로니가 전서 5장 5-8절- 너희는 다 빛의 아들이요 낮의 아들이라 우리가 밤이나 어15 두움에 속하지 아니하나니 그러므로 우리는 다른 아들과 같이 자지 말고 오직 깨어 근신할15 찌라 자는 자들은 밤에 자고 취하는 자들은 밤에 취하되 우리는 낮에 속하였으니 근신하여 15 믿음과 사랑의 흉배를 붙이고 구원의 소망의 투구를 쓰자15

15 우리는 4장에서 바울이 주님이 오실 때 우리가 휴거될 것이라고 말함으로써 우리를 이 소망15 (주님의 다시 오심 안에 있는 소망)으로 위로하고 있다는 것을 지적했습니다. 우리는 공중에15 서 주님과 만나기 위해 황홀함의 상태 안으로 옮겨질 것입니다. 그러나 이 소망은 깨어 근15 신하는 생활을 요구합니다. 주님의 오심을 기다리기 위해 우리에게는 깨어 근신하는 생활이 15 필요합니다. 달리 말하면, 주님의 다시 오심 안에서 우리의 소망을 행사하려면 우리에게는 15 깨어 있는 생활과 근신하는 생활이 필요합니다. 15

15 여기서 깨어있음은 전쟁, 즉 싸움과 관련됩니다. 어떤 번역본들은 전쟁과 관련된 말인 "자지 15 않고 경계하는"이라는 말을 사용합니다. 전쟁 중인 병사들은 깨어 경계함이 필요합니다. 깨15 어 있음이 전투와 관계된다는 사실은 바울이 8절에서 언급하는 흉배와 투구라는 말에 의해 15 확증됩니다. 흉배와 투구는 일상적인 옷이 아닙니다. 물론 그러한 것들은 전투에서 병사들이 15 사용하는 전신갑주의 일부입니다. 그러므로 깨어 있음과 경계에 관한 바울의 관념은 싸움, 15 즉 전쟁과 관계됩니다.15

15 기 도 : 주 예수여! 나의 소망은 당신의 오심입니다. 이러한 소망은 내가 전쟁에서 자지 않15 고 깨어 있어야 함을 요구합니다. 주여, 영적인 싸움을 위하여 좋은 병사처럼 항상 깨어 있15 으며 근신하기 원합니다. 아멘.15

15 Watchfulness in a Battle (1)15

15 -1 Thes. 5:5- For you are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night 15 nor of darkness. (6) So then let us not sleep, as the rest do, but let us watch and be 15 sober. (7) For those who sleep, sleep during the night, and those who get drunk are 15 drunk during the night; (8) But since we are of the day, let us be sober, putting on the 15 breastplate of faith and love and a helmet, the hope of salvation.15

15 We have pointed out that in chapter four Paul comforts us with this hope [hope in the 15 Lord's coming back], telling us that at the Lord's coming we shall be raptured. We 15 shall be transported into a state of ecstasy to meet with the Lord in the air. However, 15 this hope requires a living of watchfulness and soberness. We need a life of 15 watchfulness and soberness in order to wait for the Lord's coming. In other words, as 15 we exercise our hope in the Lord's coming back, we need a watching life and a sober 15 life. 15

15 Watchfulness here is related to a battle, a fighting. Some versions use the word 15 "vigilant", a word related to warfare. Soldiers in a battle need to be watchful, vigilant. 15 The fact that watchfulness is related to fighting is confirmed by Paul's mention of the 15 breastplate and helmet in verse 8. A breastplate and helmet are not ordinary items of 15 dress. They are, of course, part of the armor used by soldiers in fighting. Paul's 15 concept of being watchful and sober, therefore, is related to fighting, to warfare. 15
