15 -데살로니가 전서 4장 4-5절- 각각 거룩함과 존귀함으로 자기의 아내(헬. 그릇) 취할 줄을 15 알고 하나님을 모르는 이방인과 같이 색욕을 좇지 말고15

15 각자의 그릇을 취한다는 것은 그릇을 지키고 보존하는 것입니다. 사도는 여기에서 사람의 15 몸을 사무엘 상 21장 5절에서 다윗이 그랬던 것처럼 그릇으로 생각합니다. 색욕이 아닌 거15 룩함과 존귀함으로 사람의 그릇을 지키고 보존하는 것이 음행에 대한 보호입니다.15

15 거룩케 됨은 하나님 앞에서의 더욱 거룩한 상태를 가리키며 존귀함은 사람 앞에 더욱 존경15 받을 만한 위치를 가리킵니다. 사람은 하나님의 목적을 위해 높은 위치를 갖고 창조되었으15 며, 결혼은 하나님의 목적을 완성하기 위한 사람의 번식을 위해 하나님께서 정하신 것입니15 다. 그러므로 결혼생활은 존귀함 안에서 지속되어야 합니다(히브리서 13장 4절). 음행을 삼15 가는 것은 하나님 앞에서 거룩케 된 상태를 유지하는 것일 뿐 아니라 또한 사람 앞에서 존15 귀한 위치를 유지하며 지키는 것입니다. 언제든지 어떤 사람이 음행에 연루될 때 그는 더럽15 혀지며 그의 거룩케 됨은 끝나게 됩니다. 더욱이 그는 사람 앞에서 존귀함을 잃게 됩니다. 15 심지어 믿지 않는 이들도 음행을 범하는 자들은 존귀하게 여기지 않습니다. 그러므로 우리15 는 어떻게 우리의 몸을 하나님께 대한 거룩함과 사람 앞에 존귀함으로 소유하고 지키며 보15 전하는가를 알아야 합니다. 우리는 하나님을 향하여 거룩케 된 자들이 되어야 하며, 사람 앞15 에 존귀함을 지닌 자들이 되어야 합니다. 이와 같은 사람들이 되기 위해 우리는 절대적으로 15 음행을 삼가야 하며 이 문제에 대해서는 어떤 의심의 여지도 주어서는 안됩니다.15

15 5절에 따르면 우리는 하나님을 알지 못하는 이방인들처럼 우리의 몸을 색욕에 사로잡히게 15 해서는 안됩니다. 하나님을 알지 못하는 것이 색욕에 빠지는 근본적인 이유입니다. 15

15 기 도 : 하나님 아버지! 당신의 크신 목적을 가지고 나를 창조하심을 감사합니다. 나의 몸은 15 당신의 그릇이며 나는 거룩함과 존귀함으로 이 그릇을 취하기 원합니다. 당신 앞에서 거룩15 하며 사람 앞에서 존귀한 자가 되기를 원합니다. 아멘.15

15 Sanctification versus Fornication (2)15

15 -1 Thes. 4:4- That each one of you know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification 15 and honor, (5) Not in the passion of lust, like the Gentiles who do not know God.15

15 To possess one's vessel is to keep it, to preserve it. The apostle considers man's body 15 here as his vessel, just as David did in 1 Samuel 21:5. In the same matter concerning 15 the use of the body, both Paul and David consider man's body as his vessel. To keep 15 or preserve man's vessel in sanctification and honor, not in passion of lust, is the 15 safeguard against committing fornication.15

15 Sanctification refers more to a holy condition before God; honor, more to a respectable 15 standing before man. Man was created for God's purpose with a high standing, and 15 marriage was ordained by God for the propagation of man to fulfill God's purpose. 15 Hence, marriage should be held in honor (Heb. 13:4). To abstain from fornication is not 15 only to remain in a sanctified condition before God, but also to hold and keep a 15 standing of honor before man. Whenever someone becomes involved in fornication, he is 15 contaminated, and his sanctification is annulled. Moreover, he loses honor before man. 15 Not even unbelievers honor those who commit fornication. Therefore, we must know 15 how to possess, keep, preserve, our own body in sanctification toward God and in honor 15 before man. In order to be such persons, we must absolutely abstain from fornication 15 and not give ground for suspicion in this matter.15

15 According to verse 5, we should not possess our body in the passion of lust as the 15 nations who do not know God. Not knowing God is the basic reason for indulgence in 15 the passion of lust.15
