영원한 생명을 받아들임과 거절함

성경말씀

(행13:46) ...하나님의 말씀을 먼저 여러분에게 전할 필요가 있었지만, 여러분이 그 말씀을 배척하고 영원한 생명을 받을 자격이 없다고 스스로 판단하기 때문에, 이제 우리는 이방인들에게로 향합니다.
(48) 그러자 이방인들이 듣고 기뻐하며 주님의 말씀에 영광을 돌렸으며, 영원한 생명을 얻도록 정해진 사람들은 모두 믿었다.

오늘의 만나

하나님의 말씀을 저버리는 것은 영원한 생명을 받을 자격이 없다고 스스로 판단하는 것임을 입증합니다. 사도행전 13장에 기록된 것과 같이 바울은 복음을 전파할 때 영원한 생명에 대해서 말하지 않았습니다. 오히려 그는 하나님의 아들, 구주, 거룩하고 신실한 것들, 하나님의 은혜를 말했습니다. 그러나 이제 그러한 것들을 거절한 유대인들에 대해서, 바울과 바나바는 그들이 영원한 생명을 받을 자격이 없다고 스스로 판단한다고 말했습니다. 복음을 거절하는 것은 그 사람이 영원한 생명을 받을 자격이 없다는 것을 증거 합니다. 그와는 반대로 복음을 믿는 것은 그 사람이 하나님에 의해 영원한 생명을 얻도록 정해진 사람이라는 것에 대한 증거입니다. 사람을 구원하시도록 하나님께서 정하시거나 예정하신 것은 주권적으로 하나님께 속한 것입니다. 그러나 하나님은 여전히 사람이 그 자신의 자유의지를 사용하도록 하십니다. 사람이 하나님의 구원을 믿는가 아니면 거절하는가 여부는 그 사람 자신의 결정에 맡기셨습니다. 우리가 영원한 생명을 얻도록 정해졌는지 여부는 우리가 복음을 거절하는지 혹은 믿는지를 보면 분명해집니다. 만일 당신이 복음의 말씀을 받아들인다면, 이것은 하나님께서 당신을 영원한 생명을 얻도록 정하셨다는 증거입니다. 그러나 만일 어떤 사람이 복음의 말씀을 거절한다면, 이것은 그가 영원한 생명을 받을 자격이 없거나, 영원한 생명을 얻도록 정해지지 않았다는 증거입니다. 이에 대해서 하나님은 권위와 권한이 있으시고, 사람은 자유의지가 있습니다. 한 면으로 하나님은 할당하시고 정하실 능력이 있으시고, 또 다른 면으로 사람은 받아들이거나 거절할 수 있습니다. Accepting or Rejecting Eternal Life

Acts 13:46 ...It was necessary for the word of God to be spoken to you first. Since you thrust it away and do not judge yourselves worthy of eternal life, behold, we turn to the Gentiles (48) And the Gentiles, hearing this, rejoiced and glorified the word of the Lord; and as many as were appointed to eternal life believed.

Words of Ministry

To thrust away the word of God proves that such a one, by his own judgment, is unworthy of eternal life. In his preaching as recorded in this chapter Paul did not speak of eternal life. Rather, he spoke of the Son of God, the Savior, the holy and faithful things, and the grace of God. But now, with regard to the Jews who were rejecting them, Paul and Barnabas said that they judged themselves unworthy of eternal life. To reject the gospel is evidence of one's being unworthy of eternal life; to believe it is proof of one's being appointed, or ordained, by God to eternal life. God's ordination or predestination for man's salvation is sovereignly of Himself. However, He still leaves man to his own free will. Whether man will believe or reject His salvation is left up to man's own decision. Whether or not we are appointed to eternal life is made evident by our rejecting or believing the gospel. If you receive the word of the gospel, this is a proof that God has appointed you to eternal life. But if a particular person rejects the word of the gospel, this is a proof that he is not worthy of eternal life, that he has not been appointed to eternal life. Concerning this, God has His authority and jurisdiction, and man has a free will. On the one hand, God has the power to assign, to appoint; on the other hand, man has the ability to accept or refuse.
