주님을 부름으로 새롭게 됨을 누림(2)

성경말씀

(사12:3~4) 그러기에 너희가 구원의 샘들에서 기뻐하며 물을 길으리라. 그날에 너희는 말하리라. “여호와께 감사하고 그분의 이름을 불러라! 그분께서 하신 일을 여러 백성 가운데 알리며 그분의 이름이 높아지심을 일깨워 주어라.
(빌4:4) 주님 안에서 항상 기뻐하십시오. 내가 다시 말합니다. 기뻐하십시오.

오늘의 만나

이사야는 특별히 우리가 주님을 기쁘게 부를 필요가 있다는 것을 지적합니다. 우리는 주님의 이름을 기쁘게 부름으로 구원의 우물들에서 물을 긷습니다. 어떤 형제에게 문제가 아주 많다고 해봅시다. 그의 아내는 병원에 입원해있고, 그의 첫째 아들은 직장을 잃었고, 둘째 아들은 학교 성적이 좋지 않습니다. 그 형제는 주님의 이름을 부르며 이렇게 말해야 합니다. “주 예수님, 주님께서는 주님이십니다! 주님은 주권자이십니다. 주 예수님, 주님은 저의 모든 환경을 아시므로 주님께 감사합니다. 주님은 아십니다. 저의 아내가 병원에 입원해 있고, 첫째 아들은 직장을 잃었고, 둘째 아들은 학교성적이 떨어지고 있다는 것을 압니다. 오 주 예수님!” 이것이 주님의 이름을 강하고 기쁘게 부르는 것입니다. 사도행전 2장 21절에 있는 '부르다'에 해당하는 헬라어 단어는 에피칼레오인데, 이는 '위에'를 뜻하는 '에피'와 '이름을 부르다'를 뜻하는 '칼레오'로 구성됩니다. 즉 이것은 들릴 정도로, 심지어 스데반이 그러했던 것처럼 큰 소리로 부르는 것입니다(행 7:59-60). 주님의 이름을 부르는 것은 구약과 신약에 완전히 기초를 두고 있습니다. 더구나 체험에서 우리는 주님의 이름을 부를 때 새롭게 되는 때를 누린다는 것을 알고 있습니다. 이것은 말씀과 우리의 체험에서 사실입니다. 저는 당신이 주님의 이름을 불러 보도록 권면합니다.(발췌문 : 하단 영문 참조)

Words of Ministry

Isaiah, in particular, indicates that we need to call on the Lord joyfully: We draw water out of the wells of salvation by joyfully calling on the name of the Lord. Suppose a certain brother has a number of problems. His wife is in the hospital, his older son has lost his job, and his younger son is not doing well in school. ...the brother should call on the Lord and say, “Lord Jesus, You are the Lord! You are sovereign. Lord Jesus, I thank You that You know about my situation. You know, Lord, that my wife is in the hospital, that my older son lost his job, and that my younger son is failing in school. O Lord Jesus!” This is to call on the Lord strongly and joyfully. The Greek word for “call” in [Acts] 2:21 is epikaleo, composed of epi, upon and kaleo, call by name, that is, to call out audibly, even loudly, as Stephen did (7:59-60). Calling on the Lord is fully grounded on the revelation in the Old Testament and in the New Testament. Furthermore, from experience we know that when we call on the name of the Lord Jesus, we enjoy a season of refreshing. Whenever we call on Him, we are in a season of refreshing. This is a fact in the Word and in our experience, and I encourage you to try it.
